Anything more than just a few miles means that someone was out for a joy ride. All of my normal BMW car deliveries in the past have been less than 3 miles. This time it was
9 miles.

29.

According to the finance manager, new car storage for this dealer was located 18 miles away. I picked up the car the following day after receiving the call it arrived that afternoon. Only 4 days passed between the ship arriving at the port (Monday), going through VPC (Tuesday/early Wednesday), arriving at dealer (late Wednesday), took delivery (mid-day Thursday). My brother who works in the car business says 20-30 miles can be expected with dealers that have new car storage offsite farther away.

My car had 23km on it when I picked it up... but I had asked them to let me drive it from the port facility to the dealership, so most of those 23km was mine driving it the 18km to the dealer. If I had not asked my dealer to let me drive it to the dealership, it would have had 23km on it when I first saw it. So what you say is believable.

Mine had 70 & they also nicked the bumper which had to repainted.
Reason for 70 miles- Since I had to drive back 400 miles, I requested them to have the clear bra installers install the PPF. Apparrently, they had to drive to and fro 65 miles to have it done.
I waited an year and half for the car, So I just swallowed the grief, took the car & drove back.

Hopefully only around their parking lot and then get it into a bay to remove the suspension shipping blocks. Had 3 miles on mine, test drove it 8 miles as a sincere buyer and then home she went to sit with 21 miles until the road crud had been washed away.

They shouldn't as they drive M cars all the time....also your CA or the porter will also drive to fill up gas as well.

Brett says he is thinking about writing to the GM of your dealer for what they did. Totally unacceptable imho.

True there is always a small chance...but nothing you can do really but mention to your CA that you don't want anyone joy riding it. Also if you didn't realize by now the car has been driven through the vessel and also at VPC and then by the porter to the truck carrier. However I think power may be limited till some codes are activated at the dealership for pre delivery inspection. Also car takes a bit to warm up and the computer doesn't allow the engine to rev as freely vs when it's warm. Either way I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Hi Doug, my sincere thanks to you both for the care and concern. They didn't even get back to me with my inquiry about tire/wheel protection plan grace period.
