Right now I'm running 35/35 on Cup 2's. But I only have 900 miles on the car so far, so that may change once the 1200 service is done.

It doesn't look that bad as in the pic. Since there is a scrape on the tire can I drive it if I don't loose tire pressure?

Boss

Your call on the dealer, but I doubt the outcome will be in your favor?

Regarding tire, the pic LOOKS like rubber missing in the sidewall. However, not a great pic, so it might just be scuffs??

If rubber removed from sidewall you absolutely need to get that tire replaced. If just scuffs, no problemo.

My $0.02.

IF there are chunks of rubber missing in sidewall, absolutely not safe. . . other than, perhaps, a non-enthusiastic ride a couple miles up road to local dealership to get tire replaced.

P.S. you can also get wheel rash removed and wheel looking like new again by a quality technician. Probably will run you $300-400, which is better than $1,200 for a new 788 wheel.

its 200 per wheel to get it powdercoated and remove all road rash which i will do it later but need to get it touched up now in the meantime, so hoping not to spend more than 100 bucks

chunks of rubber missing in the sidewall are ALWAYS dangerous. You do not want a compromised sidewall in any way when you are cornering at speed and putting extra pressure on that portion of the rubber. Just an unexpected blowout waiting to happen.

I would replace that, *especially* if the tires are pretty new (> 8/32" tread) since you only have to replace one tire and not two.

Rim fixed by dealer who repaired and refinished the entire wheel. They said the tire is fine and cosmetic and doesn't need replacement, I took that in writing

I have forged black wheels , can anyone confirm they used the right color code

The sidewall has thick rubber but that is a deep gouge. Probably OK for daily use. It would not pass a track inspection nor be wise to do a track day or autocross with it.
