Hypothetically... M2 LCI to M2C swap

If the dealership who sold me my current M2 LCI is offering me a M2C as a straight swap with lower monthly payments, should I insist on having the bigger brakes thrown in too?

Why would they do that?

How bad was your original payment that now it is lower ?

Also , what do you mean about the brakes . You want to keep the small blue brakes ?

monthly payment doesn't mean shit. whats the total OTD difference with the swap?

lower payment could just mean longer term rolled in

IMO, if you get the dealer to 'throw in' the BBK, the monthly payments will stay the same but the price of the car will go up!

Completely agree with nioh_lbbm2, never talk to the dealer about monthly payments, only talk about the price of the car. Once you know the total price, you'll know if you are getting a deal or not...I suspect not.

Interesting stuff. The UK doesn't get the big brakes as standard - they are an Option.

New car sales in the UK have tanked the last few months, with discounts on factory orders topping 15%. Hence, my question was more about just how far to push...

well if you in the uk..you might as well wait for after brexit. if your company pays you in dollars or euros you'll probably get a 10% discount anyways from the currency difference if there is no deal brexit happens.

if your paid in pounds...i'm sure bank of england will probably lower rates or come out with a stimulus package or some sort.

Anyways the financial landscape will probably be totally different in 3wks...i would just wait.

This happened to me when I went from my '15 M4 (..ordered in 2014) to my '17 M4 (...ordered in 2016; picked up Oct 8th, 2016). My '17 had the exact same options as my YMB M4 PLUS Individual Nardo Gray paint, the OEM CF trunk spoiler and ///M puddle lights, and my payment dropped $8 and I put no money down. Great timing!!! The same day my Nardo arrived, me and a buddy drove both M4's to SupremePower and had all of my mods swapped over; the next day I had EAS install my AWRON from my YMB into my NG.

Sounds like a good deal already. Care to share the dealer (network)? I'd consider same swap.

Hmm... 48 hour test drive in progress.

Like the seats, boomy exhaust with irritating ASD, hate the wheels, black is a no.

I think the DCT is also - still - less my thing than the 6MT.

So maybe a 6MT in Hockenheim Silver with a change of wheels.

This thread over the final few pages has details of the sort of deal on offer.

Been following that thread for some time. I can get 15-20% off that's not the problem, it's more what the dealer are doing/can do to soak up the neq eq in the current car etc.

I guess they were taking yours as part ex and clearing any neq eq you had?

Well, they clarified their offer this morning: My car, plus between £5k and £7.5k as a deposit, then another £150 - £200 month. I said no...

Sorry, we seem to be crossing each other on different forums, so ill just reply here. Looks very much like my offer then? An extra £350 a month and £2.5k in. No ta v much. I'll wait for new one.

Or swap brands given the way the new cars are looking aesthetically.

Bet that felt like a bit of a kick in the nads after the test drive etc?

Must admit I was watching this thread from the sidelines wondering if a wallet friendly upgrade was possible for me at some point in the near future. Have a feeling if I go full term on my LCI, I’ll be looking at switching brands as well or taking a different approach to how I buy and use my cars.

I have an LCI manual white with sunroof very rare only 21 made in the UK and I feel it will keep its value better than a comp also no OPF !
Soon a 18 plate Comp will be worth the same as an 17 plate LCI !
