I like their channel a lot, they generally do very thorough reviews of cars, but their reviews are quite long and don't follow the typical review formats of most car review websites channels so it's probably not for everyone. Anyway I was curious because they are in Illinois and it looks like you are too.

Wireless Charger
I put a wireless charger in.
There's a video on YouTube that shows the steps better than one I could do. Rest assured though, it's takes a little more time and effort than the video shows. Works great. Now my wife uses the USB port in the console to charge her phone. I can use the power socket for my radar detector. It's an Escort 9500ix powered by the smart cord with the USB port which powers my dashcam. I'm using an iPhone X and the car is a 2017 M2 with the phone package.

Inspired by akkando's posts here and here, I ordered samples of mid-grey, dark-grey and black chrome from Fellers online. I couldn't pick up locally unfortunately because there wasn't stock, but they shipped without charging me for it so I just had to wait a little longer.
All of this was with the intention of making my Kidney Grills, Side Gills and Badges into black chrome, whilst also providing some protection, and the ability to go back to stock whenever I choose. I had considered buying the IND Black Chrome set, but it's not cheap at $550, and it's a painted tint over the original Chrome. I had seen another forum member post that their set had some chips, and though I'm sure IND would stand by their product when it was new, the fact is that stone chips will very likely happen over time, especially for the Kidney Grills. I tried the Avery Black Chrome first, but found it to be really quite thick, and not particularly conformant. Looking at videos on-line, I wonder if it was genuine because it didn't stretch very much with heat at all, and appeared to have some white layer in it. It also wasn't that shiny for a Chrome, or as dark as I wanted. Next I tried the two transparent grey films, which were much thinner and stretch really well with heat. I was able to get a far better wrap over the small Side Gill bars with this film, and so far at least, have decided to go with the dark grey film, which almost looks black in use. While I was at it, I installed the light grey film to the door mirror turn signal sections, which are also effectively Chrome. In my opinion this also looks far better than stock, and was really quite easy to do (having watched some CK wraps YouTube!). The samples aren't enough to do the Kidney Grills, so I'm going to order a larger piece for that, and my local store should have stock this time. Sample sheets were $1.49 each for the transparent, and $6.99 for the Black Chrome. Larger pieces, for example a 2' x 3' piece of transparent is $7.09. Assuming I can get the film to conform enough to do the Kidney Grills, that's really very cheap! Some photos:

I also went to Korea last week, where I picked up what might be one of the last Cellink B Extended battery packs.
I tried to place an order with an online store sort of like Amazon initially, but they emailed back saying they had no stock. I think got one of my colleages to call the manufacturer (Egens) who confirmed that they've stopped producing the extended battery packs, but gave us a retailer who might still have stock. It nearly didn't arrive before I had to head to the airport, but the shipping company was kind enough to change their route and drop it off to the hotel early! Here is a picture before install: I'll be posting the installation pictures and testing of run-time in this thread: http://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1457010

I just finished doing the M2 badges on the back and on the Grill. I think I could have done a slightly better job if I'd removed the badges, but wanted to experiment with how good I could get it without resorting to that. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. Can't wait to get a larger sheet to do the Kidney Grills with now. Hopefully the San Jose store has it in stock. Oh, and I think I discovered the issue with the Avery Chrome. It was not enough heat. I was experimenting with it in my hotel room in Korea, and I think for safety reasons, the hair dryers in hotels are pretty weak at putting out heat. I tried the wife's hair dryer with it and it worked better. If anything, I'd say it was perfect because I know you can over-heat vinyl and our hair dryer on high heat is probably ideal. It made the transparent vinyl really pliable and stretchy which gives me hope for the Kidney Grills.

Or did you go Saturday? I liked how the wheel fits on the car, and seeing Tire Rack has not answered my PMs regarding the wheel package they have I might consider these for the track setup.

Just had 1200 mile break in service done, so it was time for some coding:
The little things add up on daily use of the car, and the anti-dazzle feature is amazing. Took a few hours because I had to get some updated versions of E-Sys and a few of the CAFD files but totally worth the effort. I went the E-Sys route because I'd done it on my M235, and my buddy's M4. I imagine Bimmercode is easier but I like logging and audit trails |

Not today but over the weekend.. drove about 1200 miles from FL to Atlanta and then to South Carolina before heading back to Florida.. This car was made to be driven and enjoyed..
Went to Caffeine and Octane in Atlanta where there were tons of beautiful BMWs in the BMWCCA Corral. Also went to Road Atlanta and saw a couple M2s running the HPDE! Was making 26mpg during the trip which is great IMO having dyno' day 411whp and 444tq. Car behaved very well all weekend and was not a pain with the exhaust!

New dedicated track wheels. 18x10 inch Apex SM-10s will be teamed up with some Nitto NT01s for a square track setup. Can't wait to see them on the car but will have to wait another month.
