Installed my FabSpeed downpipe!

Oh wait....I didn't.

Got out the ramps, fitted myself for a neck brace and opened up the box. It has a dent on the turbo side.

The box did have a small poke hole in it, but the foam that encased the DP wasn't damaged at all, so I don't think it was from shipping.

I was like a kid on Christmas opening this thing. I was even working from home today to get an early start on the install.

We'll get it right, but that'll be a few days off now. For now, just waiting for the workday to start in Vegas so I can call up x-ph and see what we need to do.

I guess there's always yardwork..............

Good news. I just heard back from FabSpeed and they say that dent is part of the design:

Hi John,
The "dent" is there to allow the oil line to pass by without interference from the cat.

Whoo Hoo. Time to get dirty. I may get this thing installed today after all.

Pilot Sport 4S went on the car replacing the Contis that had 15k. On the way to work got low pressure rear left warning, I guess they didn't bother to actually inflate them correctly? Seemed off by maybe 2psi Guess I will take care of that after work..

Also I noticed a dent a few days ago on the front left fender on the top. I think a ball hit it? No idea. A paintless dent guy can probably get it. It's hard to feel with my hand but I notice the warped reflection. Fender is covered in PPF so at least there is that.

They are great. What sizes did you go for?

Ya the stock one also has that dent. BTW good luck with install, the upper clamp is a huge pain !!!!!! My neck and arm are still sore from the date of installation.

I just stuck with the OEM sizes. I didn't really think about it because I know some people went wider, but I wasn't planning to get tires right now but one Conti needed to be replaced immediately and I thought fuck it lets just get better tires all around, but I didn't have the time to do the research on how wide can I go and still have them fit? I just needed to get back on the road now.

Received the TechnicPNP ASD Bypass today and immediately got excited and plugged it into my M2. Bye bye annoying ASD. But the downside is my MPE on sport mode sounds the same as comfort mode and only opening the valves will make it louder.

This is actually a before pic, dropped it off to get full body wrap and new Vorsteiner wheels.

(company bonus time and new car are not a good combo to control my spending)

I know it's probably too soon to tell, but do you notice any significant difference between the Contis and the PS4Ss?

Like you, mine came with Contis from the factory, and like you, I'd like to replace them, but can't justify the expense when they're brand new tires.

I was hoping I'd get through them quickly, but by the sound of it, 15k miles later and yours still had life left in them... I only do about 8k miles / year, so I'm looking at a wait of 2 years or more before then need replacement because of wear alone!

Well you could just drive over some screws.

It will be tempting... if you say the difference is huge! Otherwise I'll wait it out.

Reminds me of when the dealer put a massive nail in my MPSS at the break-in visit and then told me it was like that when I dropped it off and they would give me a "deal" on a replacement for $400 with no labor...

Damn, car looks amazing! Anymore pics of the front? Curious how the lip looks from different angles.

We have the exact same wheels that come stock on the m3/m4 without comp pack except they use 255/275 instead of our 245/265. Could have just upgraded 10mil worry free without having to do any research. Oh well not really a big deal, still a huge tire upgrade.

Looks like f80 is 255/275, oh well, next time. Maybe the smaller oem size will be more fun!
