APEX | Satin Black M2 Competition on 18” VS-5RS Forged Sprint™ Line Wheels

Satin Black Dual-Duty M2 Competition | Featuring APEX 18” VS-5RS Sprint™ Line Wheels

Check out our friend Dave’s M2 Competition on an aggressive set of our brand new VS-5RS forged wheels. These wheels are leading the charge for our Sprint™ Line designs in 5x120 BMW fitments and are the lightest wheels we’ve ever made. Brake Clearance was prioritized with all of our Sprint™ Line designs and all new motorsports blanks allowed us to engineer wheels that easily clear large aftermarket brake kits like the AP units Dave is running on this car. These 18x10/18x11 wheels are an aggressive staggered setup for the OG M2 and Competition models with aftermarket brakes that fully fill the fenders when combined with a track alignment.

For our customers running the massive 2NH brakes standard on USDM M2 Competition, we have 19” Sprint Line wheels arriving in March next year that will easily clear your brakes and will be available in our M2C specific widths and offsets.

Seeking Photoshoot Volunteers for APEX Testfitting!

Paging BMW owners in the Bay area! If you're interested in free professional photos of your car on brand new APEX wheels, we are looking for volunteers for testfiitting and photoshoots! Volunteers will get copies of the photos, a discount on a set of APEX wheels, and APEX goodies/swag.

If you are interested in volunteering, please email us at info@apexraceparts.com with your contact information, location, and a photo of your car. We are currently looking for volunteers with an M2 Competition equipped with the 2NH factory 400mm brakes for 19" Sprint line testfitting but all are welcome. Show us what you've got!

If you'd like to take an inside look at what these photoshoots involve, our good friend Blake made a video detailing the process of an 18" test fitment on his F82 M4 recently:

These are so insanely concave, definitely keeping an eye on the 19s in the future.

What's the rear camber to fit that wheel?

The specific amount of camber required will vary from car to car, but our baseline recommendation for 18x10 ET25s in the rear of an M2 is -2.5° with 275/35-18 tires. If you run wider tire sizes or aggressive tire models that run wide for their listed size, you may need more camber or pulled rear fenders to prevent rubbing. Dave looks to be running a bit more rear camber than our baseline recommendation. Ride height will also play a role in both your final alignment specs and clearance between your rear tires and fenders.

Thanks guys! I’m pumped for 19” forged as well especially for the M2 competition!

IIRC Dave is running aabout -2.5deg in the rear. He's maxed out the rear camber setting on the camber arm (which gets you to -1.8 to -2deg on stock suspension), and since he's a bit lower on MPS, that brings you to about the -2.5deg level. At least that's where he was back in Oct when I was chatting with him at Sonoma.

Thanks for the info, that is super helpful! We'll do a better job at taking notes for these features in the future so I can have the specs available for everyone initially. Do you recall or did he mention his front camber spec? I can get the values added to the OP if we have them.

Any updates on availability or timing of a group-buy in 2NH fitment? Exactly what I'm looking for.

We are working on getting all of the photoshoots completed to support this Group Buy. We just finished shooting and M2 Competition recently, but we have a few other chassis to shoot prior to getting the full 19" Group buy live.

Thanks for your patience! We'll be sure to bump these threads when the new Group Buy launches.

This wheel is highly anticipated in Korea!
I used EC-7 18 inches, but I think 19 inches is suitable, so I'll take a chance and buy it.
