So the Wagner Evo 1 Competition intercooler installed with no clearance issues? Just curious as I have an M235 with the same IC and I am looking at N55 M2s.

Last request - can you measure fin density for us?
I also noted the dimensions on the 1st page, it's 8.5" tall, that would explain when it's contacting the chassis brace.
Here are photos of the fin density. Looks about 12 fins per inch to me.

How was the fin density vs stock? And as far as it holding up - If you stay close to stock, I don't know if it will matter.

Any insight on what it should cost to have this installed? So far I’ve been quoted $350 and $550 which both seem absurd.

We've had the 5" intercooler on the shop's 335 for a few months now. it's performing exactly as expected for a daily driver. Current temps in las Vegas are averaging 110 degrees

It's a major improvement over stock and offers great value for daily drivers. If users are more performance-oriented and are pushing their cars to the limit, the 7" offers even better results

I posted some logs of mine on Stage 1 93 tune in the ultimate intercooler thread. Generally speaking, temps rise about 15 degrees during a hard pull, then drop back fairly quickly to where they started once off throttle. Wouldn’t recommend it for track use where you’re always on throttle, but as Mike said, effective for a DD where you want to do a few glory runs on a spirited drive without the engine pulling power back on you. The main advantage of the 5” in a DD setting to me has been less heat soak at idle or lower speeds than you’d see with a larger, track oriented unit with higher fin density.

I unfortunately didn’t get a chance to run logs on the stock intercooler because I didn’t want to invest in Bootmod3 before confirming the MAD unit fit well, but by all accounts I’ve seen the stock one performs significantly worse. Temps have been mid to upper 80s in Michigan this June and I haven’t seen the IATs touch 120, which is where the engine seems to start to pull back.

^Yep, to all of this. My Wagner EVO Comp 1 intercooler has been freaking great for street driving all the way up to temps in the mid-90s (highest I've driven in so far). Yes, IATs can spike into the upper 120s when I'm at stop and then fall to 10-15 degrees over ambient during normal driving and under moderate throttle, it falls to nearly ambient. Over the course of a 2nd and 3rd gear pull (40mph to 105mph), I'll see peak IATs at ~5 to 10 degrees over ambient.

I have no idea what my IATs might be on a road course under nearly constant boost or if I was doing 3rd, 4th, and 5th gear pulls. I don't race the car nor drive like that so I don't see the point for a huge, race-style IC. It's the same reason why I don't run a larger turbo, R-spec tires, track pads, a racing seat, a larger radiator, etc. on my street driven M235. If I raced the car, it would certainly have different modifications.
