Excellent. Sounds like the stock retaining bolts were in fairly good condition? No trouble getting them out?

Nothing m2 related, but finally dumped our pos 2019 cayenne and replaced it with this beautiful 2018 bsm x5 with only 40k miles. Plan was to go G05 but this was too good of deal!

Check out rennlist. The 9y0 has loads of problems but the big one is constant water pump failures and ac issues which is expensive with the new R1234 refrigerant. I have a laundry list, really upsetting as our cayenne diesel was amazing. We put 200k on it and it only ever needed injectors.

Really love how that shot was taken. the rear fender seems accentuated and that's what I love about the M2.

Hey everyone! I’m planning to do some DIY maintenance on my OG 2018 (61k on the clock) and wanted to get some input. What brand of engine oil, oil filter, and spark plugs are you all using? Also, how often do you typically change them? Car is stock.

I’m asking because I’m about to order the parts myself and want to make sure I’m getting the best options. Any recommendations or tips would be greatly appreciated!

Dude that’s awesome, congrats!
We’re currently looking at getting an F15 Diesel. Hopefully we may have actually located one after looking for around three months. They’re not easy to track down in specific trims.
Any reason you didn’t go back to a diesel for the F15 as I see that you have some diesel experience?

So originally was doing 90 miles a day commuting, which the cayenne diesel was perfect for. Now my wife and I both work from home, we rarely drive over 5 miles day. So, a diesel doesn't really make sense anymore. According to my diesel friends, you need a long enough commute every time you drive it. Daily driving without it getting up to operating temp is what causes them to start clogging up and become problematic. Deleting helps alleviate this some but didn't feel worth it anymore. Plus it was much easier to find a nice 35i with low miles lol

There’s so much already written on what oil to use. It really comes down to how you intend to use the car. There’s a lot to read here, but it’s quite comprehensive:
https://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1764786

Spark plugs are either Bosch (OEM) or NGK. Many more details here:
https://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=2114980

The OEM Mann filter or OE Genuine BMW ///M oil filters are both fine.

Dang you really were bored lol.

Looks good though!

Serious question: doesn’t cause strange reflections on the windshield?
