Caliper difference?

Hey guys, stupid question.

The stock blue brakes, I've seen them made in red (I believe from the factory) for the M3/M4 I believe.

Does anyone know if these were in fact offered on the M3/M4, and if they would fit the M2? I'm asking because I'd rather buy new OEM brake calipers in red than have mine powder coated, and I'm not at all interested in the factory upgrade 2NH.

I am planning to do the same for my 2NH brakes, don't want to paint.

I wish it was as easy as buying the 2NH set, but honestly, I just don't want the caliper rock issue. There is a slight chance I'll end up with 20's on the car, and if that happens it's 2NH time for sure.

Recently painted my calipers as I didn't like the blue on a blue car, the red is a nice contrast imo. All up cost was $200. I used top quality heatproof red & clear caliper specific paint. Took me a few days as I removed the calipers to do it correctly. A little time consuming but not a difficult job at all, the most difficult part was sanding & masking up the calipers. I have a pressure bleeder so did it all single handed too.

I rebuilt a set of cayenne calipers (brembo 18z) for my golf r and used aircraft stripper to remove the old paint. Toxic stuff but work super well.

I'll probably buy the orange ones - trying to decide what will look best with bronze blast Te37's.

Cost for just the 2NH calipers in red were over 3K so I ended up just painting mine as well for a 1/3 of the price. I opted to have mine professionally done as I'd probably screw it all up.
