Does anybody know if the OEM pump will work with the Dorch file upgrade because my workshop is 100km from my tuner, therefor I need to get the file installed first before I get the dorch kit in?

So, I showed up to the shop, changed my map config to turn on the Dorch HPFP setting, flashed the car, and it started right up.
On the way home I did several WOT applications and no issues. No additional noise, either. I haven't had a chance to run a high Emix and tune, yet. Will do that later this week! EDIT: Just to clarify, I’m using bootmod3 OTS Stg 2 93 and E30 maps and toggling the Dorch HPFP option in each map’s config settings. PTF is working on a Stg 2+ E30 map for me which will have the same toggle. Not sure if my Jordan Tuned E45 map will have the toggle in the config, or have the HPFP tables baked into the custom tune itself. Will find out tomorrow. Cary's settings will be via setting the HPFP as 'original' and then you'll also be able to set 'Dorch' A couple of things to note. With Cary's settings initially I was having an issue where the HPFP wasn't firing up until it hit certain load. So my pressure was ~100psi and then would burst into life at about 2,500-3,000rpm. If I stopped for too long it would turn off and drop back to around ~100psi. This was an issue with BM3 and the way the tables were being uploaded or something. Not entirely sure on the specifics. We swapped to the Dorch settings and it fixed it. Though I noticed recently when I flash I have the same issue initially and then the car seems to learn over a few minutes of driving and the issue goes away. We've swapped back to Cary's settings now. Same thing initially but now the car has relearned. The trick seemed to be going easy through the rev range until the HPFP kicks in (you'll feel it - and see the PSI jump to over 2,000 on the BM3 dashboard) and then you're fine to do some WOT pulls. Afterwards it shouldn't dip back below about 1,200-1,300 at idle and then you're good to go. If it does drop to 100psi just try the above steps again a couple of times. If the issue is persistent then there's something wrong with the tune. When we swapped back to Cary's settings we did it via 'full flash and unlock (diag only)', so that might've been what fixed it. Hope that helps |

I didn’t have any issues with the BM3 OTS maps, but I’ll keep this in mind when I try the Jordan map. |

Here are some 3-4 pulls on the first version of my Jordan Tuned map with an E49 mix and my Dorch Stage 1 HPFP. The V1 map feels similar to OTS Stg 2 E30, so we'll amp it up in the next versions.
https://www.bootmod3.net/log?id=5ee4...729b0ea9b3c476 HPFP looks solid. Altho, I was getting some >6500rpm HPFP drop outs when I would go WOT while just cruising and making the car kick down to 2nd or 3rd gear from 6th or 7th. Not sure if that's tune related, or if it means I'll need a Dorch Stage 2 to be able to adequately handle higher Emixes and more power. |

My CJ base map is 17.2psi and 11.5 timing with my Dinan turbo—seems pretty conservative, but I guess we need to start somewhere. To compare, OTS Stg 2 E30 is 16.5psi and 13 deg timing. Halim is getting back to me with a Stg 2+ E30 version, so it’ll be interesting to see how the tuners make their power—boost and/or timing. |

Here's revision 1: https://www.bootmod3.net/log?id=5ee7...0b431db2fb3a94
18.7psi target and 11deg timing, E47.5. HPFP and timing is holding up during the pulls and it feels a good bit faster than the base map. Altho, I'm still getting >6500-rpm HPFP drop outs (HPFP psi dropping to <1400) when making the car kick down from 6th, 7th gears. I've already requested the 2nd revision. My thought is to find the max boost/timing combo for the Dinan turbo and my car first, then address the >6500rpm drop outs on kick down. If the Stage 1 HPFP continues to remain solid while doing the log pulls, then maybe Cary can adjust the tune for the kick down issue so we don't pull the plug on making more power and at least finding the limit for my setup. |

Here are a couple logs of revision 2--higher boost, lower timing (20.5psi, 10deg).
I'm shocked the Dinan turbo was getting close to hitting the boost target at the upper RPMs, but you can see the timing isn't as clean and this map didn't feel as fast as 18.7psi, 11deg. I was also getting >6500rpm HPFP dropouts during the pulls, so we'll see what Cary says. We definitely found the worthwhile psi limit, so I'm guessing he'll add a little timing to the 18.7psi map to see where we end up--not sure, yet. Overall, I'm a bit concerned that Stage 1 isn't going to be enough for E47.5, especially in cold weather. Kinda stinks b/c we're not pushing major power, prob just 425-440whp like we've been discussing. Let's see how the remaining tune revisions go and what Cary & Dorch have to say. https://www.bootmod3.net/log?id=5ee9...90c62a22b5a18c https://www.bootmod3.net/log?id=5ee9...0b431e3b5cedab |

I agree with trying less E content.
Interestingly you're having similar boost / waste gate oscillations to me at the top of the rev range. Cary is currently working on this for me, though I haven't heard from him in a few days. |

Mostly, I’d prefer to not have to cut back in winter, but Stage 2 looks like a must to pull that off. Several more revisions and conversations bn Cary and Dorch will provide an outcome. |

Yes I've now been told I have to install the stock file with the dorch HPFP unlock to the custom tune, so I've got that already done and installed then once the car has the new HPFP I will head down to my tuner to retune the car to stage 2, I've not been given any figures yet but looking at 420bhp and 620nm I hope Which on the stock turbo I think is just about enough, not really interested in going anymore I'm happy with it this way. |

Been running the Dorch stg2 with my custom e50 map for a couple of months now with 0 issues.
No sound from pump, no problems to report, biggest issue is the way the car eats up rear tires at the moment. The car is my daily driver. |

It depends on if you are fuel limited, octane limited, or turbo limited. If you are fuel limited then you will make more power with an upgraded fuel pump. If you are octane limited you will not make more power with an upgraded fuel pump because you do not have the octane to raise boost or timing. If you are turbo limited then it won't matter if you have an upgraded fuel pump or not because you have the octane to max out timing and boost and the stock turbo cannot generate any more boost, therefore you cannot make any more power.
