infotainment center crashes when in reverse
I have a reverse camera in my M2. Not sure if it is original or an after market one. I bought the car second hand with 70 KMs from a car dealer.
Today, when I got home, I switched to reverse and the infotainment center crashed. It says no signal. When I move the transmission back to D it comes back on. Did any of you ever encountered such issue? Do you have a reverse camera? Thanks |

Only today's morning I drove the car again and, basically, was on my way to the service but couldn't reproduce the problem.
It was raining on Friday. I assume that there was a short circuit because of the water. |

I doubt that it was a short circuit unless the car has some past accident damage that was poorly repaired.
I had a lot of iDrive issues when I initially bought my car. It required 4 service visits and intervention from BMW Corporate to replace the entire unit, but that fixed it. It would help if you tell us what model year the car is, and if you can determine if the camera was OE. I suspect that all M2s have the reserve camera.
