Yes, the Dinan springs, bump stops and Shockware have dialed it out of my tuned 228i too. I am sure the M2 already drives like this; all 2s can be modded not to push and it makes them even more of a blast to drive.

Oooh. Aaah. Those are the options I want.
Plus the stainless steel pedal covers, which this M2 was apparently lacking.

M2 seems to be pretty stable in turns. Love that he drove a 6mt. I can feel that heel/toe coming in between shifts.
Don't think he needed to heel toe with the auto rev match feature
Can the automatic rev match be disabled in all driving modes? I would want it off all the time.

i have a modded e82, and after a drive in the m235i it felt like i was driving a taxi
the car has no feeling

i hope the M2 manages that better, or would it just be a superfast taxi

Nice plug by the old man. As most reviews say. Sound is not good - asthmatic for sure.

It can ONLY be disabled by putting the car in sport plus, which also turns DSC fully OFF.

You will Have to get it coded or BMW will have to get their heads out of their arses and update the software

I'm glad rev match can be disabled in the 6mt Having full control without all that electronic gadgetry makes it more a pleasure to drive.

BMW did not disappoint.

Can you discuss the coil-over suspension on that M2's ride quality relative to settings in an M4? Would it be acceptable or too stiff for a daily driver?

Thanks

I sure hope it's easy to code because I would want the DSC on all the time except at the track.

Seriously? All I hear is wind and tire noise not even the fake synthesized sound can be heard. Really underwhelming
This is because the camera (gopro) is in an enclosed case and doesn't have a microphone hooked up to it. No matter how loud the exhaust is you won't be able to hear it on video without a microphone plugged into the gopro. (I know this from the 2 gopros i use while at the track.)

AFAIK, sport+ doesn't turn DSC off fully. It just switches the stability control to dynamic mode. In order to fully disable DSC, you have to press and hold the DSC button until it says it's off.

I just got a GoPro black as a Gift. Horrible wind noise even on first local tests drive with it on the outside of a vehicle. Have a a recommendation on a good mic?

My advice is to mount one cam on the bumper and use Harry's Lap timer on your phone to record the front facing. Then you get a rear cam too.

That's what I did here:

I bought a $30 mic on amazon (Audio-Technica ATR-3350) and it works great. The version I purchased is discontinued, but there are newer versions.

I worked with Steve at RA all day Saturday registering people for rides and getting them in and out of the M2. I also went for a lap around RA. This car does a phenomenal job and is very powerful. There were many different brands of powerful cars participating in this event. This car was on street tires, but with "R" rubber Mike Renner would've been a challenge for any car there. He went out in the Instructor, A and B groups. As anyone driving in any "advanced group" understands, he's there in only a helmet, a 3-point lab belt and with visitors in the passenger seat.

We read all the time that these cars are better than the driver. In most of our cases, that is absolutely correct. Living in the Greenville area, I know most of the Performance Center Drivers and they're all very good. Everywhere they go representing the BMW Performance Driving School, Mike drives everything they have in the stable of cars brought to the tracks by BMW. From the McLaren, E36, E46, E92 and the CSL, he's truly an outstanding driver. Anyone who has ridden with Mike even once at the tracks around the US totally understands what I'm saying.

We'll be at Monterey and Laguna Seca for BMW's 100th anniversary and the BMW Ofest event in August. There will also be a presence at many other events, including Sebring this upcoming weekend. Ofest will be a great time and there will be many rides around the track.

Finally, the exhaust on this car sounds great from the outside. I'll venture to say this is the BEST sounding turbo-charged car yet. I've traveled to most of the tracks where they're providing rides and was just at Daytona helping get the folks in and out of the cars there. The M2 sounds phenomenal and is changing my perspective on exhaust notes from turbo-charged BMW's.

Anyone in doubt about the sound experience should attend an event where Mike and the M2 are present and check it out for yourself. In person, you can certainly appreciate the car and the driver.
