Thanks for the compliments on my E46. Still my favorite body style.

Here's a pic of it. It's Ferrari Grigio Medio.
I completely agree on the bumper. I understand wanting an aggressive look but I think there is too much going on but perhaps it will grow on me.

Grigio Medio is a great color on the e46 and as you said it is also one of my favorite car body styles ever. I miss the two I had.

Thanks for sharing the pics!

IMO those wheels don't work and the stretched tires look like they are just begging for mercy. Also it's way too slammed, but otherwise it's a nice e46.
Well, yes. The slammin' and strechin' is what ruins it. Other than that it's the good old prefect E46.

Anyway, the M2. I was dead set on an F80. Now I'm not so sure. The M2 is possibly the best looking M car after the Z4MR.

There's nothing happening accidentally here. BMW is placing those cars purposely so you will take photos and give them free publicity and feedback from a very knowledgeable group: us on e90forum.

I was looking at an F82 myself until I found out about the oil cooler located under the front just behind the bumper... what were they thinking?

I REALLY WISH SOMEONE WOULD TAKE PICS UNDER THE FRONT OF THE M2 TO SEE IF IT ALSO HAS AN OIL COOLER THERE LIKE THE M4.

I'm not sure which one you're referring to as the "bulge" but I personally prefer the flare they did with the M2 regardless. IMO, I feel like it gives it that wide body kit look instead of just quick over-the-tire flares like if it's an aftermarket drill on...which the E46 M3 has.

I agree with some others in here about this slammed M3. If it wasn't slammed, and therefore had different tires/wheels then it would be so much nicer in my book. One of my BMW commandments is never slam one, they just look terrible to me. Just my opinion.

Fantastic - what a great color. BMW Individual or did you have it painted?

M2 is a short but wide car.

Well if someone could find a white one sitting around, I would be appreciative.

I'm confused what's with the F82 hate? I personally love the way the F82 looks.

LSB e46 > F82 > F80 > F87

I would have put F87 > F80 if it weren't for the front bumper.

A lot of people prefer the fenders to flare like Mark's nostrils here...

Give me orange! At least it's different. Just from a style perspective, I really don't like seeing turquoise stitching on the seats and light blue stitching on the steering wheel.

Apparently warzilla said that he saw a white one in Northern Jersey near BMW NA.

Warzilla, I have three questions for ya:

When did you see it?

Where exactly did you see it?

Are you positive that it was an M2?

I am planning on going back when I have time this week. If you can give me an answer as to when you saw it, and that you're sure it was an M2, I'll go back tomorrow and try to get a ton more pics/impressions for you guys

Is anyone else thinking the blue stitching might be a bit too much with LBB exterior? I think it would look great with white or the black or MG

Maybe you can get a ride along. Or just jump on the hood if they say no.

Stock M2 vs. slightly-ghetto E46 M3?

Not a good comparison IMO.
