It's just single zone, not dual zone. That's the weight savings. |

So pricing at the LA auto show?
I feel like there is nothing else left for the nov 6 announcement. All that's missing is the pricing and ordering guides . |

They haven't announced the weight either. Heads are going to explode if the weight savings is either phenomenal (300lbs) or marginal (75 lbs).

I haven't driven the M2 or M2C for very long... a couple test drives and 2 BMW M School events. My thought is that I would probably move from the M2 to M2 CS if the price was right. I prefer the S55 engine (especially as it comes in the M3/M4) and I think the interior is upgraded quite a bit with the seats, stitching, glossy carbon trim, and alcantara.
It comes down to price for me. Since I am also considering 2 seaters, if the CS pricing puts it into Cayman S/GTS territory it will be a tough choice. |

I was astonished to see the the CS advertised with shitty MPE brakes at +16kg's on this high end model. They eliminate the weight savings of the CF hood and roof completely (however they pull the COG further down, millimeters to be honest....).
Rest are the savings on the wheels, exhaust and seats and I doubt weather that will reach -50kgs, could be possible. |

That and Subaru's were straight blue with gold wheels. This car has a dark CF roof, spoiler, mirror caps, lip, etc and the gold just looks out of place especially with red calipers which is also a curious decision. Saving grace is that it's a subtle gold but I would save my money, get the standard black wheels, and go aftermarket if I wanted something different on this car.

It definitely won’t be 300lbs. What ever they quote for advertising, I’m sure it will include carbon ceramics. The 763m wheels alone are like 5-6lbs lighter per corner, than the boat anchor 788m wheels. I’d be surprised if it is much over 100lbs.

I like it. If I didn't have a 1m, would get this. In the end, I prefer a true limited run car versus limited edition of mass produced car even if more total 1m vs m2 cs.

If anything, I'm more excited. No negative surprises. Heck, the vented hood was a late development. I really like the interior. A Nuna Rava granite car seat will go great. Kinda has M colors on the base . As long as the price isn't crazy absurd, and my dealer does get a build slot, then I'm ready to jump in.

So went to my local dealer today (M certified or whatever they call it) and asked if there was a list for the M2CS yet. Salesman stated the car wasn’t official yet and hence no list existed. I explained it had been announced today but decided I am happy with my M3 comp and would rather spend the money on a few other things (racing costs money, lol).
Still would like to own an M2 at some point and realize this car (M2CS) may hold its value due to limited availability, but just don’t think it is for me right now. May regret that decision later! |
