You get a manual airco unit, no possibility to upgrade to auto (weight saving).

The weave on the center console an the roof is really big... really big.
The climate control is automatic.

It's just single zone, not dual zone. That's the weight savings.

So pricing at the LA auto show?

I feel like there is nothing else left for the nov 6 announcement.

All that's missing is the pricing and ordering guides .

Funny..

Amongst 320 million people, there is not a chance in hell of acquiring one which such an absurd limited number, even if you're willing to splurge. Just saying...

It may as well be a unicorn..
Well said, I totally agree!!

It's sad that most anticipated model ever is so hard to get
Not sure why BMW is playing this game. It could be a huge cash cow for them if they just increased production to 6000 worldwide, like the 1M.

Or do what Porsche is finally doing with the GT4. Basically production will match demand. Win win for the hardcore enthusiast who may otherwise not be able to get them; limit flippers or investors who're buying them just to hid them; and huge money maker into BMW...as we all know sales are down and they need funding for their electric models 😂
And the funny thing is that they are not even that stellar for driving dynamics like the GT4

It's a 2 series with hopped up parts, not a dedicated sports car.

BMW is definitely the gold standard in how marketing works. They should split off and make a marketing university.
True. That being said, it's still a fun car to drive.

They haven't announced the weight either. Heads are going to explode if the weight savings is either phenomenal (300lbs) or marginal (75 lbs).

I haven't driven the M2 or M2C for very long... a couple test drives and 2 BMW M School events. My thought is that I would probably move from the M2 to M2 CS if the price was right. I prefer the S55 engine (especially as it comes in the M3/M4) and I think the interior is upgraded quite a bit with the seats, stitching, glossy carbon trim, and alcantara.

It comes down to price for me. Since I am also considering 2 seaters, if the CS pricing puts it into Cayman S/GTS territory it will be a tough choice.

Rest are the savings on the wheels, exhaust and seats and I doubt weather that will reach -50kgs, could be possible.

That and Subaru's were straight blue with gold wheels. This car has a dark CF roof, spoiler, mirror caps, lip, etc and the gold just looks out of place especially with red calipers which is also a curious decision. Saving grace is that it's a subtle gold but I would save my money, get the standard black wheels, and go aftermarket if I wanted something different on this car.

They've got a little something for everyone. This combo is certainly polarizing and draws attention. I'm going HS with gold, and that wasn't very popular in a recent color combo poll. So my taste certainly doesn't run with the masses.

But if you are a guy that likes this direction for BMW and really likes the fact it may be one of the last of a dying bred(manual trans) you, like I, will most likely love it and I hope you will try to buy it. I'm convinced that the success of the 1M and the M2's are the reason this car is happening. I have a 1M and a M2 and I'll be getting one of these if I'm lucky.
As for the haters, let them hate while you enjoy everything about this car.
Yeah, always haters out there! Especially nowadays with platforms like this 😂😂. I love this car! This is what the the M2 should be. They should just make it a "by order only" car (the M2 CS) and priced within reach of where the M2C and maybe just cancel the C — as the buyers would be the same. By that nature alone, the numbers will stay limited. Only the purists will order them, and for the right reasons. Just make a driver's car. It's kinda why I ordered my X3MC with zero options aside from the "ventilated seats" (they didn't have the CF strut brace yet. I mean a panoramic roof is a fun idea, but the everyday living is the shits. Have one on our M40 and you can feel it! Not only the weight, but the "twist" in the body under cornering and the heat (even with the screen closed) is crazy! It makes all sorts or noise as the body contorts, but it feels like your head is stuck in a sauna. And all the hot spot, auto parking features, etc... I know how to drive and park a car. Who needs a hot spot these days? It's a $4,000 option! No thanks! Just want to push start and go. I love good audio (HK is standard), but seldom use it because I just want to hear the engine. BMW should have a car offering that keeps things tied to it's roots. Sure, give the other options, but make one that is a purist M-car. The M2 is smacking you (BMW) in the face saying "pick me, pick me".

It definitely won’t be 300lbs. What ever they quote for advertising, I’m sure it will include carbon ceramics. The 763m wheels alone are like 5-6lbs lighter per corner, than the boat anchor 788m wheels. I’d be surprised if it is much over 100lbs.

Ha, I sat around my tv for an hour waiting for this video, thinking that there was going to be an engineer going over the specs. Nope

They will quote a weight with the carbon ceramics for advertising.

I like it. If I didn't have a 1m, would get this. In the end, I prefer a true limited run car versus limited edition of mass produced car even if more total 1m vs m2 cs.

What's the redline in an M2C or M4C? If same, idk why they need to state it...

If anything, I'm more excited. No negative surprises. Heck, the vented hood was a late development. I really like the interior. A Nuna Rava granite car seat will go great. Kinda has M colors on the base . As long as the price isn't crazy absurd, and my dealer does get a build slot, then I'm ready to jump in.

So went to my local dealer today (M certified or whatever they call it) and asked if there was a list for the M2CS yet. Salesman stated the car wasn’t official yet and hence no list existed. I explained it had been announced today but decided I am happy with my M3 comp and would rather spend the money on a few other things (racing costs money, lol).

Still would like to own an M2 at some point and realize this car (M2CS) may hold its value due to limited availability, but just don’t think it is for me right now. May regret that decision later!

Agreed. Unless you like 4 doors and a nice big set of hips. Then the M3CS is the best current from BMW. No bush...I mean bushings on that model either
