I did not, I suspect if that was something VFE thought that needed to be done to achieve maximum gains they would have said so in their instructions.

No. Like brooke1972 said... does not recommend

Who knows vf might have a turbo to go with the tune if a lot of people are interested they might do a upgrade big turbo..

Hahahah sorry about that.

I have a fabspeed sport cat, Wagner EVO I Competition IC and AA chargepipe and today did the upgrade to stage 2. M2 just feels like a rocket ship with stage 2!

As a quick back story, I've had stage 1 for about 5 months now and loved it. Stage 1 felt like a decent bump in power and definitely brought the car more to life. Last week I had the Wagner IC and chargepipe installed, while doing the install I had the dealer do the istep update to fix the backup camera glitch.

The istep update reverted the M2 back to stock. So I have been driving around without a tune for 5 days and it has been the longest 5 days ever. Both Stage 1 and Stage 2 just transform the M2, it felt to me these last 5 days completely underpowered without a tune.

I expect sport+ to be much improved but how about comfort & sport? Is comfort usable now?

So your dealer would be aware you had a tune on it, right? How did that go down?

comfort and sport are also improved. all modes have better response in a progressive manner. I actually use comfort mode now where as before it felt way too
subdued. if I want to drive without over run I open the exhaust valve on comfort and it's a perfect sound with no pops. on sport+ with valves open and aggressive driving the pops and bangs sound awesome, crisper, sharper and louder.

I am running Dinan CAI, no issues with CEL.

Is your transmission manual?

With TC totally off, I can roast the tires through 3rd gear no problem.

Manual. I hear a little tire squealing in second, but the back end doesn't feel loose going straight. No apparent slip in third. Define "roast" for me please - especially in third gear.

@VF-Engineering can you please confirm if the hex stage 2 tune will work with a pure turbos stage 1 upgrade.

We can confirm that it has not been tested, and that
we would never recommend a software option that
has not been properly tested and/or validated for
the specified hardware configuration.

If there's a Southern California customer (coughOrangecough)
who's interested in buying a set and spending a week
or so on our dyno, we'd be happy to see what we can
do within the limitations of the factory fuel system.

Tempting, but I'd be more interested in stage 2 if/when I decide to upgrade my turbo...and then I'll be bending over for the hpfp upgrade to go with it.

Edit note...it would be interesting to see what a PS1 or PS2 turbo could do on this car with race gas but without meth or PI.

VF-Engineering I have Stage 1 on the car for a few days on my otherwise stock M2 and love it esp the burbles in Comfort Mode with 1 click of Traction mode.

I’ve noticed the car no longer shuts off to save fuel at stops. Thoughts?

I think you may have just turned the auto stop off. Mine never shut off, even before the stage 2 flash, because I am not a fan of that feature, I never used it.

They deactivate that feature with their tunes.

Has to do with the GTS Startup Roar.
