Grand Tour - M2
Old geezer Jeremy was brave and honest enough to say that it's the best BMW car ever made.
The car was honored to be firstly introduced on their new test track, and it showed why there is still much buzz going on around this little rocket! Even thought it wasn't faster then M3 and M5 around their new track, I enjoyed every second how geezer was dancing with it! But anyway, it's amazing show and don't miss it! |

I do have to say that I'm very skeptical of their new "track"
The R8 shouldn't be faster than a GTR and an M5 shouldn't be faster than an M3 on any normal race track. |

Anyway, good to see Clarckson loving the M2 and even better that he drove a 6MT i.e. a proper one |

Yesterday was an amaaazing friday! TGT + the M2! Had some serious goosebump action that evening.
Even though it was epic, it felt much more "scripted" than when they did Top Gear UK, hopefully it will seem more natural later on Also I'm sick of seeing the holy trinity time and time again, but that's because it's such a long time ago the Trio were suppose to review them :/. The first episode was amaaazing regardless |

That's what also happened in 2011 after the Top Gear episode where Jeremy Clarkson drove the 1M and (equally) gave it a rave review:

"A straight six engine at the front, a manual gearbox in the middle, and drive goes to the back. That's page one, chapter one from the petrosexual handbook." That's why JC rocks. No matter how many times he's said that XYZ is the best thing ever.

On Sunday I awoke to collect my posted letters by the door. As I looked out the window I saw a young chap delivering leaflets. He was standing in my drive just looking at the M2. I was concerned at first, but then he walked away smiling. I figured he may have seen TGT Quote:
I'm a member of a few ///M forums and have noticed bitterness towards the M2. It's just history repeating itself I guess. I remember when the 1M came out. I was (and still am) a big fan, but many ripped the car apart. I know the 1M is rarer (low production yield), but it's funny how after a few years it is now unanimously adored... and the critics have disappeared |

Still slower than the M5.
And you get to have your butt massaged and enjoy cooled ventilated seats while beating the "true sports cars" (ahem M3 and M2) on the track. I didn't even mention the better exhaust note of the V8 either. Lol! And I have driven an M3 and an M2 on the track before, while fun and definitely more nimble, they felt a lot slower.

And Chris Harris just gave the 1M and M2 some TLC too:

Better numbers are one thing. And yes, better laps times can indicate a more "fun" car. But road feel, responsiveness, and balance are very important and can't really be measured directly. And yes, we can't ignore "The American"'s statement that: "Three liters. Six cylinders. This thing wouldn't pull a greasy string out of a dog's ass. Where I come from, this ain't a car. It's a cry for help." Oh well. Think of that as video clickbait. (Like much of Top Gear past and present.)
