Oh and one other thing about MG that is a huge plus- if you carbon fiber ANYTHING the MG goes with it and makes the CF look totally seamless with the MG- here are some shots in the shade and at sunset as opposed to bright sunshine, And to those who feel the M2 a bit "overstyled"- at least on the front end - not lovn those fangs just yet - MG would be the perfect color. Can somoen Pshop a Yaz Marina Blue?

I like how MG hides some of the overstated cartoonish features. I would've picked this color even though it's my least favorite BMW gray of all time. A silver would've been nice to add to the mix.

looks bad in mineral grey, looks so boring, and makes the fenders look so much smaller.... not a fan of mineral grey for the M2

I'm now convinced MG just suits larger cars better than smaller ones. With a larger surface area the color has a chance to show its true visual characteristics.

Mineral grey WAS the colour of choice for me..UNTIL NOW! Wtf?? The wheels def don't suit it so I was picturing the stock wheels and still wasn't doing it for me...I'm becoming a bit concerned now because what if I'm asked to commit to this car and have to choose a colour blindly? Is there a time frame when I can change my mind about paint?

Sometimes cars get locked in very early and can't be changed months before production but usually it gets locked for changes a few weeks before production starts.

This is now the BMW to Buy

The M3 is way too heavy. The M4 is way too big and wide. Both are way too expensive. The 335/340 doesn't steer or handle like it used to. The 4 Series GC has no stick option and is really a luxury car. The M2 does it all.

Im gonna have to find a used Subaru to drive in the snow when I put an M2 in my garage next year. Love the size, weight, power and handling should be fantastic. Makes the M235 kind of obsolete after 1 model year.

The E9x fender flare are sexier and > M4 and M2 but not the F80 M3 sorry that rear fender flare on the F80 is just absolutely gorgeous and most aggressive flare ever! Just look at it!

The 2002 Turbo had true 'old school' BMW flares.

I'm with this man right here ^

f80 rear flares is just pure hours of hot sex. She's hot she's nasty but when you're done with that she behaves like a lady on the street with pure elegance and classy transportation for 5

The explanations indicated that the broader length of the vehicle, spanned by the widening and gradual taper towards the back make these newer gen coupes even more slippery in the wind tunnel.

And this is what is contributing to the elements which have so reduced the lap times of the new M4 and M2. As I recall, the sedan (M3) did better in the wind tunnel from the get go! And the M4 actually needed the additional spoiler built into the trunk to help on the lift, where the M3 did not.

Go figure... less pretty makes faster on track.

I am a fan of the flares, as I look at my E90 and think, "man, that is wide in the back."
More aerodynamic the new feeder flares compared to the old school you say...? so much so that BMW had to design a special trunk/boot lid on the M4 because the F80 M3 was more aerodynamic. I'd say that article was sheisse....

I'll just leave this right here for everyone F80
I must have spent an hour staring at this car at the Chicago auto show

I agree, F80 M3 fender flares > M4, M2.

Wow I actually like LBB more than this. I thought mineral grey would look awesome but the wheels aren't doing this first impression any justice.

I agree. This hides some of the extreme overdone style elements and to me it completely works on this car. I like to err on the side of understatement though....MG is top of my list!

Grey has a always struck me as dull and uninspiring color. However, given the lack of colors for the M2, I've had to rethink grey as a possibility. And what to do with it to give it some pizzazz.
M Performance stripes might give an otherwise unsurprising MG car a touch of surprise and excitement. Add the Performance exhaust system and the black kidney grills to add a bit of intrigue and strength. Together, these should transform the car from a wallflower to, at least, a presence.

I like the wheels. It would be better if they were 19" but they still look good IMO. I think we need better lighting to make a full judgement on this color. I'm starting to think BSM might be the way to go but need to see more pics.
