Will definitely do it again on the M2 if I ever get one.
What can one expect in terms of installation costs? No one seems to be answering that question.

My tech takes 8 hours (he has installed over 45+ roofs) + glass removal. It really depends on the shops hourly rate. For example, labor rates in the Midwest are around $95 an hour depending on the shop.

What would the total cost be if someone brings there M2 to your shop in Chicago and gets you to do the install?

Matter of opinion... I found the M2 disappointing in person.

I went in lookimg for an M3 or M4... M3 is nice but BIG! M4 does look like its stretched a bit further than it should be. I walked in ready to spend 90k... but the M2 looks so much better! Ordered an M2 and now have 20-30K left over for upgrades and a vacation.

Definitely a matter of opinion. Because I walked into Sterling BMW dead set on leasing a 18 LCI F80 M3 (the M4 is the Cadillac Escalade of coupes) and came out with a deposit towards BUYING a 18’ M2.

The back is unique and can be an acquired taste (I’ve always liked it) but the front looks better than any other M car currently on the market. Again, opinion

I’m finding most F80/F83 owners have a love hate (mostly the latter) relationship thing going on with the M2.

Did they have an M2 in the showroom for you to look at?

They had 4 AWs and a LBB. Test drove a white performance edition.

Fell in love.

So nice... Too bad it is a PITA to install and it will void warranties where I live because it is L-O-V-E-L-Y.

I really want to get this done at some point. so I'd be down to make the trip out to their shop to have them do it if the install was in that range.

I have asked before but no one ever post what the install price is out the door.

Looks really great and maybe this is a dumb question but aren't there safety concerns related to these?

The very low end would be about $1,400 for labor, and the high end should come in at about $1800 depending on the shops labor rate. Price includes removal and reinstall of the front and rear glass.

PM us if you like a quote for install at our location.

Carbon fiber is an extremely strong material, and the original BMW safety structures and reinforcement beams remain in place when installing the carbon roof panel.

List of the Complete parts for the OEM Carbon roof, unsure whether you can actually source the roof or not though.
