2018 Alpine White base
Introducing my new to me M2.
Just purchased yesterday 1-12-24 Picked it up from Atlanta and drove back to Chattanooga in Torrential rain. The mods on it as of purchase are below Evolution Racewerks (ER) High Flow Downpipe Evolution Racewerks (ER) Charge Pipe BMS Cold Air Intake Wagner EVO Comp II Intercooler Custom Stage 2 tune from Solo Motorsports in Atlanta Wasn't listed, but it does have carbon mirror covers and some carbon winglets on the front bumper and behind the doors. Took these as soon as I got home. 20240112_160922 by thetaste lingers, on Flickr 20240112_160929 by thetaste lingers, on Flickr 20240112_160912 by thetaste lingers, on Flickr This morning I went out and gave it a nice bath. 20240113_091127 by thetaste lingers, on Flickr I ordered a good list of mods even before picking up the car. My first mod was the bimmer plug push button for that subtle blue 20240113_084633 by thetaste lingers, on Flickr Then I installed the IND painted reflectors front and rear. 20240113_095714 by thetaste lingers, on Flickr 20240113_100836 by thetaste lingers, on Flickr 20240113_104526 by thetaste lingers, on Flickr 20240113_134919 by thetaste lingers, on Flickr I have Apex VS-5RS 19x9.5" ET22 and VS-5RS 19x11" ET40 in Brushed Clear that are supposed to arrive the 19th My local tire supplier friend will have tires ready to mount when I get them. Also bought some TPMS as well. KW (HAS) kit purchased from EAS is on a 3-4 week delay. I decided to wait because they offered a $125 rebate upon purchase from KW. I also have a PSM High kick carbon spoiler from Bimmer Plug in the mail. Coby alcantera steering wheel is my choice. I had one on my F80 M3. Absolutely loved it. They are on a 3-4 week turnaround. To go on that wheel, I bought Autotecknic paddle shifters. They are in the mail also. Decided to try the yellow DRLs. They'll be arriving soon also. I'll be updating the thread as I receive and install these mods. Hope you enjoy.

Look forward to seeing your progress. I have done a few things and will post em up at some point. Mine is a 6spd, with VERY few mods so far. Its -18 in illinois right now... my garage is freezing!

The next weeks weather looks horrible, so I put the car in the air to clean the wheel wells and get the car prepared for the lowering kit and wheels.

Well... two of the wheels arrived yesterday and the flappy paddles.
Also, I unexpectedly purchased some Ground control camber plates. lol They were on Ebay used, so I threw out an offer and they accepted. Teaser shots!!! We'll see I guess.

Got a few things done over the weekend while waiting for the lowering kit to get here.
the KW kit arrived in Nashville the 21st. Not another scan on it until the 25th. It went back to California... Anyway, it's now in Memphis as of yesterday. Maybe it'll deliver Wednesday like the tracking shows. Crazy... UPS is smoking crack. Anyway, I went with yellow DRLs off Ebay. A buddy has them on his car with good results, so I am giving them a go. 20240126_203841 by thetaste lingers, on Flickr Differences in stock vs yellow. 20240126_203846 by thetaste lingers, on Flickr Finished. 20240126_204257 by thetaste lingers, on Flickr The shifter trim was bubbling. I couldn't find a reasonable priced OEM piece to replace it with, so I ordered some Alcantera and wrapped it. 20240126_130307 by thetaste lingers, on Flickr The car came with a carbon spoiler, but I had my sights on something else. Removal was a royal PITA. Whoever installed the spoiler used what I think is windshield sealant. This stuff is very good and hard to remove. 20240123_213146 by thetaste lingers, on Flickr The rubber eraser wheel was working overtime. 20240125_173854 by thetaste lingers, on Flickr When I got done, there was a good bit of sealant. Really unnecessary. 20240125_175651 by thetaste lingers, on Flickr I installed the Bimmer Plug high kick spoiler. It fit perfectly. Very happy about this purchase. 20240126_115831 by thetaste lingers, on Flickr 20240126_115840 by thetaste lingers, on Flickr The car is still in the air. I've removed the front struts and rear springs in preparation for the KW kit when it arrives.

Well, the KW (HAS) kit finally arrived Thursday after it's tour across America.
I quickly installed the rears Thursday evening and the fronts Friday morning. The front may be a little lower than I had anticipated, but I ran out of time getting the rear dialed in and took it to the alignment appointment anyway. I may raise the front a tad, but right now I am happy with it. 20240202_103727 by thetaste lingers, on Flickr Freshly aligned. 20240202_141451 by thetaste lingers, on Flickr 20240202_141456 by thetaste lingers, on Flickr Went with -2.0 neg camber front with zero toe, -1.6 neg camber rear with 1/16 toe in the rear 20240202_163731 by thetaste lingers, on Flickr 20240202_163820 by thetaste lingers, on Flickr 20240202_163911 by thetaste lingers, on Flickr 20240202_164015 by thetaste lingers, on Flickr Yesterday I removed the yellowing PPF in front of the rear wheel wells. 20240204_140017 by thetaste lingers, on Flickr 20240204_140523 by thetaste lingers, on Flickr 20240204_141522 by thetaste lingers, on Flickr This Titanium oil drain bolt with magnet on it was on sale from bmwmpower247, so I had to order one. 20240201_232036 by thetaste lingers, on Flickr That's it so far. I have a friend coming over Friday to help with paint correction and we'll likely do a ceramic coating Saturday. While he is working on the paint correction, I will be putting lowering springs, spacers and mid pipe on his G87. Thanks for looking!

Started with a heat gun and transitioned to boiling water and it just peeled off.
I used some Eulex adhesive remover to finish things up. There wasn't a lot of adhesive left, but it made short work of it.
