Smile For those on M Tour 2016 #2!

Just wanted to get everyone that is from here to post what their plans are for before/after the tour.

I plan on getting to Munich on the 5/6th. Probably will have to pick my dad up at the airport. Def going to Hofbrau house for dinner! That place was so good and so much fun.

Going to call the BMW guy tomorrow because the email says $5900 per participant, the original email I received said $5900 per car. Hopefully I'm just reading the new email wrong.

P.S. I found flying out of Nice was beyond expensive compared to flying out of other places either in France or in Germany. Trains and planes over there are much cheaper than the flight from Nice (almost 4000 euros).

Looking forward to meeting you guys and having a few beers

The correspondence I received was $5,900 for the driver but there was a charge for any guest... can't recall how much. Maybe I'm mistaken.

It sounds like an amazing trip notwithstanding the cost.

Product Bulletin says $5900 per vehicle based on double occupancy. Given that the email was sent to both Tour #1 and Tour #2 together, should be fine.

Super excited! Trying to decide when to fly over... Will likely be there around the 5th/6th as well but to be confirmed.

havent received the email as of yet, once i get it i will start the trip planning, my understanding as others have said that it is $5900 per Vehicle (1 passenger included) perhaps an additional fee of such would be if you wanted to bring more than 1 passenger, Twix can you confirm that the itinerary is the same with exception to the dates obviously lol

5900 would be pretty steep for 1 person. IMO. When I did ED last Oct we stayed 5 days in nice hotels, did Nurburgring and Spa and the total trip was about 5k for both of us INCLUDING airfare.

Tour is for Canadians for M4 GTS/M2 owners only. I got an email from BMW today with a corrected grammar for the pricing. It is in fact $5900 per vehicle based on double occupancy. No extra for 1 guest. The way the first email read was that it was $5900 per participant (I don't consider the car a participant lol).

gtaM2 Check your emails, BMW sent one out a couple of days ago, as well as one today regarding both tours.

cool are you flying to munich and then flying out of nice?

edit: just read your original post and see that you are from alberta, flying to munich and then departing from nice seems to cost around 900 roundtrip from toronto which is not so bad i guess alberta is more expensive, i am thinking of flying into paris

Yeah, Nice is retarded expensive to fly out from. Cheapest I could find to Munich was a little over 300 euro with a checked bag. No checked bag and it would have been 89. Air travel is becoming dumb these days. Not like fuel is expensive right now...

I'll be in Munich mid morning on the 5th, I'll be heading to HB for dinner either that night or on the 6th, depends on when my dad gets into town. There's some places I haven't been to in Munich yet, I'll be sure to hit up those places too.

As for hotels, I may stay in Erding those two nights. It's cheaper and the train is a 5min walk away. I'll start looking around tomorrow night when I have more time in camp.

apparently there is a break in service that needs to be performed after something like 1000km, i wonder if bmw canada will give us details on this it might need to be done in europe.. i will inquiry about it..also we will need to keep the car under 5500RPM according to another thread on here, that will be challenging lol

Guys, I just came across this post. I'm on 2nd tour. We're flying into Munich on 6th. Have asked BMW.ca to book factory tour that afternoon. After Tour, we're staying near Nice for a few more days before dropping off vehicle, then flying to London via EasyJet for return flight home. We found it a lot cheaper to fly EasyJet.
Also FYI, I asked BMW.ca whether we have to drive our own vehicle on Salzburgring since it'll only have a few hundred KM's on it. We're told they'll have "other" M Cars for us to drive there. Phew!!
