Considering BSM instead of what other color? I ordered Alpine White and here are three good reasons to consider it. (1) There are a LOT of LBB out there. OK, AW is the second most popular, but by one count only half as many as LBB. (2) White is historically BMW's racing color. (3) White doesn't show swirl marks as easily as the other three colors and is the easiest color to hide chips and scratches.

Ack - nothing personal, but it is my least favorite of the 4 - and while I agree 50% of them are LBB, that's 1,000 total cars for the US this year

My dealer said they have received 0 allocations so far also. BMW Cleveland (Solon, OH). They delivered their HEA car in April and that's it.

I don't understand how some of these dealers are getting zero when they move large volumes of M cars.

Yup, same here.
At this rate I'll be getting the car in December which will suck because I won't even get to put many miles on it.

There really seems to be little obvious rationale for some of the allocations. It seems odd that with 516 allocations to cover these next three months of production, and some 350 or so dealers in the U.S., there may be many dealers that received nothing. My dealer is a small one in Connecticut (so this is understandable) and had not received a single configurable allocation - not one, until this past week, and even now they got only one for the next three months. I'm fortunate that I was number one on their list. Some of the posts above have wondered out loud about queue jumping with dealers actually getting an allocation but giving it to someone lower in the queue who perhaps offered to pay more. That's speculation and we may never know. Is it possible that some dealers have received an allocation or two but are sorting out exactly what to do with them.

Stay strong my friends. If you can wait, try to hang in there. I almost bailed and I'm glad I didn't.

It would be great if someone could download and dump all the allocations by dealer on this forum from the BMW system. That way we can keep the dealers honest! My folks went MIA too.

reppucci made a thread like that for MY16 - numbers, types, colors, etc.

It's a great read if you haven't checked it out.

If you are wondering if your dealer got an allocation or two.. I would make sure you list who your dealer is. Maybe someone will check into it for you and kindly PM you? I dunno - but much better than saying "My dealer didn't get one"

instead try "my dealer 'abc BMW' told me they didn't get one"

Just got off the phone with one of my dealers, BMW of Seattle. They got FIVE slots. Unfortunately for me, I'm now at #10. The dealer at which I'm #1, Spokane BMW, got zero slots. Super.
