There are 2 height settings on the BMW Performance seats, I’m on the lowest setting and can fit a helmet on my head no problem. I’m 6’ btw

Has anybody fitted Recaro Pole Positions into an M2 and retained the seat heating? If so what extras does it require as far as plugs etc?

Did you post the seat pics on here ?

Are you running with the stock 3pt belt or a harness?

dont forget about the cobra Nagaro, can be custom stitched when order is placed as well, along with leather/alcantara options to the brey krause mounts to retain power functions.

I have a pair of Nogaros on order (should be here in a week or two, so I'm told). Looks like it will require coding out the seat heaters (or getting replacements and putting them under the pads), as well as coding out the airbags and the seat occupancy sensor. Power sliders can be retained, or switch to manual sliders. Will post as comprehensive a write-up as I can once everything is ready.

Looking forward to the pictures of the seats as well as the write-up as I plan to purchase some Recaro Sportster GT's over the winter!

I had cobra install BMW seat heater pads in my Nogaros, so they function 100% as stock. I could have had them do occupancy sensors as well, but I don't care about that functionality (all they do is disable the passenger airbag in a crash when you don't have a passenger), so i just coded them off. They also did them in Imola red leather for me, to match my interior, at no extra cost

I, too, have them mounted on OE BMW sliders with the BK mounts. The whole thing is about as factory/OE as an aftermarket seat can get, imo! And all without costing more than a "normal" generic setup (swiss cheese floor plate, crappy aftermarket slider, generic side mount, seat wrapped in generic color for all material).

Ok, seats are at HMS and are on their way to mine. Attached are the pictures HMS sent me. Their recommendation was to just buy new heaters and put them below the pads, and I'm likely going to buy third party ones (the F87 seat heaters are like $150/side and a very odd shape that's unlikely to fit well in the shell) and replace the plug with the BMW plug.

I'm actually attempting to build my own brackets (laser cut, bent, and powder coated 1/8" steel, similar to the M4 GTS brackets), so that's going to take a little bit of time. I need to test fit it before I make the remaining ones.

The BMW seat heater pads have a therminster built into them that the aftermarket ones do not. Your unlikely to get aftermarket heater pads working with the OE controls.

What are you hoping to gain making your own mounts? If you got nogaros, the BK option is seat specific and car specific. Pretty unusual perk to the nogaro!

Your pictures aren’t loading for me.

Do the Nogaros have a lower pass through for a 6 point harness? The MFR description talks about the shoulder strap pass throughs for a 4 point harness, but it isn’t clear whether they’ve gone all the way with the “Circuit" version and also added a pass through for the sub straps.

I found a few photos showing 6 points installed, but I’m curious if folks are modifying the seats to accommodate the sub-straps, or if they’re designed to be compatible.

Also, what’s the fit like on these seats? Room for a larger/heavier driver? Shoulder pass through holes high enough for a tall driver? I’m 6’2" and 40" waist. Most of my height is in my torso. We don’t have a local stocking seller anymore that I can find, so I’d have to order blind if I went with them.

For reference, my other half just put Recaro Sportsters, 1/2 cage, 6 point harnesses in her 718 Cayman. I’ll probably go that route at some point if the Nogaros aren’t suitable. I find the Sportsters comfortable, and have Sparco REVII for my other car where 3 point compatibility isn’t a consideration.

The circuit nogaros do have a sub strap pass-through hole.

I’m 6’4 and the harness holes align properly for me. 38 waist and fit comfortably.

Looks like just the seat pad has the thermistor, but the back pad doesn't. I can wire in a 10k thermistor to aftermarket pads, or buy the E46 seat pads (which are a better shape, and already fit per your original post) and swap the plug. Curious if it'll work with just the back pad (I think this is an easy test, I can just unplug one and see if it still heats).

The annoying thing is that I'll need to bring the seat module along as well (not necessary for seat motion).

The enjoyment of making them (learning CAD, laser cutting, sheet metal bending). I went pretty far down the road but chatted with some folks who basically said the bends I wanted to do were going to be nearly impossible without CNC tools, and the quote I got from a local shop was close enough in cost to the BK mounts that I ended up buying the BK ones.

Could someone educate me on runners/mounts?

I have an M2C with electric adjustable/heated and want to replace with Recaro CS manual adjust. The aftermarket runners I have seen say "cant replace electric". Am I missing something? Please help, what do I need to make them fit

I recently completed the installation of a pair of black leather Sportster CS in my OG M2.

Here's my parts list:

1 Recaro Sportster CS (Driver side)
1 Recaro Sportster CS (Passenger side)
2 Recaro sliders 7227671
1 Planted Seat Bracket (driver) SB141DR (for E90 M3)
1 Planted Seat Bracket (passenger) SB141PA (for E90 M3)

Bolts/hardware:

8 M10x25mm Hex screw bolts
8 M10 flat washers

Passive restraint integration (optional):

1 BMW Left pretensioner seat belt latch for F-series pn. 72117259387
1 BMW Right pretensioner seat belt latch for F-series pn. 72117259388
2 M10x22 Filister-head screws pn. 07146960536
2 M10 hex nuts

They are drop in/direct fit, no metal work or wire splicing needed. Coding will be required to fix the airbag warning error.

Overall, a very solid seat mod. I must say.

Is your seat position a lot lower now?

It is lower but not much. It's hardly noticeable.

You can feel you are sitting in and not on the seat.

Can you please elaborate on the seat belt restraint? Can you not use the one from the oem seats? Why did you order the items below?
