I've been through four tanks and haven't computed it...probably won't. Trip computer says 19.5 MPG for what that's worth. I have a DCT and drive it exclusively in sequential mode.

I got 26.7 driving from South Carolina back to Colorado. As I was on break-in mileage, I wasn't driving particularly efficiently; lots of variations in speed and gears. According to the trip computer, the car has averaged 68 MPH over its 1700 mile lifetime.

Around 18 here, but I'm breaking the car in. Running in Sport+ 99% of the time while loading and unloading the engine, so this is expected. Also I notice it seems to be running rich, possibly as programmed for the first 12k miles. I would like to see it leaned out some during the 12k service, but I don't know if that's part of the program.

13 mpg, 99% it's running in sport+ and I'm 80% loading the engine most of the time.
Atm, I have around 140 miles on the clock and just 50 were done on the highway. |

I'd say about 35% of my miles have been highway so far (odometer is at 700) and I'm getting 18.4. I drive in sport about 90% of the time and comfort for the rest. Waiting until 1,200 to breach the sport+ gates!

23.9 from South Carolina back to Chicago. Varied load and speed for break-in. I found many awesome back roads over my 1100 mile trek. I ran the car within guidelines but clearly with a heavy foot.

Every time drive it and it's warmed up I vary the rpm, putting a load up to about 4500... Also down shifting to load it up to about 4500 on occasion. Point being I don't tend to drive at 1100 rpm or even 2500 rpm for very long, just keeping it varied. I love this car and can't wait to really unleash the beast!

I'm not buying the car for fuel economy. I will never bother to look.

I switch to sport or sport +, and trying to keep the revs between 3k and 5k, during acceleration from 2nd to 4th. Once I reach wanted speed, I try to keep it over 2k-3k RPM all the time. Also, I go with 50-80% load on first and second gear when it comes to throttle position, but when there is space I push it shortly to 100% in 3rd and 4th gear and trying not to go over 6k rpm. Engine is shutdown at least after 1 hour of drive, in order to eliminate any kind of carbon build up. |
