It seems there is always a drastically reduced BMW bike sitting in the lifestyle section next to the parts counter. If they built an Ebike version with an integrated downtube motor, that would be pretty cool, but, overall this bike is catering to a pretty select segment of individuals...

The cable is for theft
I haven't used the sea sucker as I have a SUV with a trailer hitch, but I have zero issues having it on my M2 when I get it. FWIW, I have a 7000 dollar ellsworth and a 4000 dollar diamondback road bike

Thanks for your post. I noticed that the cable was sold for a theft issue...but still I will not rely to have that on my roof when driving at 60mph or above on a highway and for long distances. Just in terms of safety for other vehicles driving behind, I'm not sure if that type of rack are approved by the DOT and insurances companies. That's my opinion. My job is related with traffic ans safety issues....

I've been tempted for so long but many of the reviews say it scratches the clear coat.

Do you have any personal experience with this product?

Or the GTS!
Removing the saddle on the GTS version would probably appeal to a small (and quite odd) audience

Absolutely it scratches it. Maybe stuff it in the trunk. Love them fold-away bikes.

Borrow/rent/own a bloody SUV and leave the M in a respected garage setting.

If they really wanted to sell a lot of them, they'd be better off piping in some M exhaust notes into the frame secretly as to make it real authentic like in our cars.
