Apart from being different manufacturers, main difference:

• M2 BMW M Performance exhaust = stainless steel.
• M2 Akrapovič exhaust = titanium (except if Akra changed its mind)

Cheers, mainly weight saving then if titanium. The details for the mpe read the same as the Akrapovic so I wasn't sure if BMW had teamed up or just copied design!

Also, you get an increase of 26hp with akra, according to a bmw-mechanic that installs akra at my bmw dealer. Akra sounds better as well imo...

Do you need to remap the car to release that 26bhp? From the price I have had from BMW for the MPE I think it will work out the same price as the Akrapovic

26bhp is a decent power hike for just an exhaust!

The 1M got 10.5 hp with their Evolution system. The M4 got about 7 hp.

Akrapovic will be titanium and include downpipe, remote valve and center pipe. I think it will be similar to the system for the M4 and 1M. MPE is only slip-on correct?

True, although I think it will be fine, else I sell the diffusor and buy the one from Akrapovic They had one for the M4 and 1M I believe. I do not see a major issue, it will fit somehow

You cannot :P Maybe it was exhaust plus first dyno run on the car. Would be better do a dyno run before and after to see what the difference is with an exhaust. A turbo engine from BMW always delivers more than normal so it could well +26hp with the exhaust, but then the exhaust only counts for like 5-10hp, the rest comes from what the engine offers.
