I did not like the RS3 at all... Fast from A to B, but that is about it. The TT-RS however. Different story! I love it, but the price tag is pretty much horrendous.

If one is into drag racing, the RS3 is fantastic. Into the 9's with stock motor and hybrid turbo. Otherwise no interest.

The special order $400 option has always been listed in the Canadian M2 Ordering guide. The MY16 and MY17 ordering guide also have that same $400 special order option.

TTRS is 300 lbs lighter, RS3 actually handles better with the longer wheelbase. I don't know about USA (this topic is about Canada) but an M2C is now the same price as TTRS in Canada and the Audi still comes with far more features, and is also 350 lbs lighter.

I like all these cars don't get me wrong but the Audis are a serious value up here in comparison, and since we don't live in SoCal the awd is a big deal too.

Not just drag racing. Of course RS3 does not really feel like a rwd car which a lot of guys are dead set on. If lap times are your ticket they are virtually the same with the BMW having much better tires.

And also cheaper in Canada than the M2, where in the US I think it's the other way around.

No MPE option... People will get rapped when it will be time to buy aftermarket/MPE exhaust not port installed!

Interesting news. Basically offers details on the cost of getting the car including brakes, sport seats, and the led lights. Not bad.

Should probably save the comparison with the rs3 for the inevitable thread of its own. If people are thinking it's all about straight line or track times, you've never lived where it gets cold. The rs3 is going to smoke any m2, even if it has snow tires when the temps are below 30 deg or there is the least bit of snow. That's just the awd advantage. Personally, I'll take a golf r and save $20k plus.

Just saw the new pricing on the M2c from my dealer and wow, I can't believe all this is offered for that price. Seats, s55, exhaust, wheels, brakes, led, etc all standard. All I need is the HK sound system and the carplay+wifi options. Thank you BMW.

I‘ve seen the canada pdf yesterday and was blown away to be honest. Base price in switzerland rose 7,9% and would be nothing but typical that still after the huge bump all kool new parts would still be extra...

Now my hopes are high that most of the new parts are allready included as well, this would give me quite a few thousand bucks more budget for m performance stuff and what not else...

At 62900 vs 65200 does anyone really care???

Not to be an ass (nor am I not a BMW fanboi) but this argument is lacking context.

Also I heard the sounds and saw the damage the RS3 can do at the strip. If you live on the straightaways of the desert or on the great plains, and want something more sophisticated than a muscle car or generic TT tuner then I think its sprinting prowess would be highly tempting.

The price difference between M2 and M2C is big enough to create a significant advantage for the Audi. By the time you add a few options to the M2C, and especially if you want DCT, the difference is 10-12k+ and standard with the Audi you get pano roof, awd, dual clutch, magnetic shocks, virtual cockpit, better quality leather, sports exhaust is only $900, and one of the world's best engines. It's only 5k more than a Focus RS (!!).

The only reason to pay that much more for the M2C is if you don't really plan on winter driving it and you have to have rwd dynamics and/or a six speed, which is understandable. At 75k though you can just about get a Cayman S if that stuff is your main concern.

You are not getting a Cayman s for 75k all the ones I see with comparable specs pushes near 100k. I even see base caymans pushing 90k at some dealers.

You can run rwd m2 in winter no problem.

I love most of the great kit you get from the RS3 - I really debated getting one, but the exterior styling isn't as aggressive as I wish it were, and not nearly as purposeful as the M2 (or the M2C either).

But there's no doubt that the RS3 has many advantages over the M2. The M2 gets the nod with MT, RWD, and subjective exterior styling for sure, but the RS3 has a lot going for it too.

Well it is Porsche so you can spend 40k in options if you want.

I guess that depends on your definition of 'no problem.'

Did a conservative build, what I consider just the must-have Cayman S options...93k. I left off numerous options I would like.

Looks like they just copied from some M4 documentation, the picture is AY with CCB, not offered on the M2. So it is more than likely an error.
