Worried about blocking some of the air to the intercooler?

It always baffled me as to why our cars have no fog lights.

I'm using the foglights set up from IND, they supply you with a light switch replica that includes a fog light button.

there is plenty space behind lights for air plus it's an upgraded intercooler (autowerks) over stock. If you go this route do not get dinan intercooler as it's too big for this set up.

Well those are pricy, huh? It looks like a very nice kit though. Is there an install thread anywhere?

Very slick.

@DOM:
The covers are custom made from a local saddlery.
The leather is genuine BMW Dakota with Alcantara mix.

Install was easy and took me less than an hour going super slow and working alone. I've been having issues with my ESYS token as of late so I had to outsource the coding to someone else but that took like 5 min. In total I had it in and working in about an hour and took it for a drive shortly after. No issues other than a service reminder for the brake fluid went off, but that should go away on it's own (I'm told). If it doesn't I'll just reset it myself so not worried either way. I'd def recommend these (and the LCI tail lights). Make the car look and feel brand new again.

Tails are ~$500

Cluster is ~$1000

Headlight retrofit is ~$4000

So yeah...that's why I haven't purchased those yet. Might have to check the local junk yard and see if there are any LCI adaptive 2ers that were involved in a rear end collision cause ain't no way I'm dropping 4g's on headlights unless I win the lottery.

Very interesting!

Do you get the oil temp meter with this swap?

Any links to more info?

Yes, you get an oil temp display which is very nice to have. The digital speed display is also much larger and the lighting looks more modern and allows the needles to be way more visible in various lighting conditions. Overall I'm very pleased with the updated look and all the small (but important) changes.

I think this is the dedicated thread:

A proper bath for mine as well including a 95% job on the wheels. Used hydrosilex on the body & wheels this time. Wheels took 2x+ the time I spent on the rest of the car just to clean.

Need to find some kinder pads & if the hydrosilex helps, I will consider spending the time to ceramic coat the wheels.

Do the wheels with the hydrosilex. I was on the fence and did it (just the outside, as I hadn't pulled the wheels off the car). I think it did more for the wheels than it did for the paint.

This is why whenever there's a thread asking if the executive package is worth it I say it's an absolute bargain for the adaptive headlights alone as it's a very costly mistake to realize after you wish you had them.

Changed the low fuel distance warning, coded out ASD, and nag screen on i-Drive with Bimmercode app.

Not sure how I feel about the ASD, there were moments when I liked it louder.

I removed the ASD, then reactivated it. Cabin was too quiet. Realized I enjoyed the fake ruckus.
