Thanks. I was wondering about that post (the edit this one). The car I learned to drive manual on (1976 e21 320 my first car in 1984 - I was so proud of it) certainly didn’t do this. In fact, no car I’ve ever owned has done it. These new manuals sound like automatics to me. May as well get a DCT and embrace ALL the benefits of the modern era.

Thanks for this tip!

I've had my M2 for five months, and didn't realize this! I figured if you pull the opening button to open the glass roof, it would open it all the way!

It actually opens about 1 1/2- 2" more!

Thank You! I could have gone years and never discovered this! It's actually much nicer open even wider!

Manual automatically adds throttle input while letting out the clutch progressively to match the speed of release for a smooth start - it's the best in traffic - not sure if it's a F87 specific feature assume it's on all 2 series.

Didn't know you could swipe the screen display to get from a split screen to single screen mode.

N55B30TO is BMW's all time most overrated, or least underrated turbocharged motor, sharing the same turbo with the 2014 335i that is rated at 65ps less from factory.

PS is German horsepower rating.. He's saying that bmw is over reporting (or under reporting depending on usage) the relative power rating of that engine

To me, M2 being underpowered is a fun fact.

And I did a heck lot of work fixing that in an OEM fashion.

I think he's saying this N55 is almost maxed out from factory and usually BMW engines output a lot than what they say on paper, but the m2 engine barely outputs more than what they say.

During that drive, the car would not let me toggle out of comfort mode to either sport or sport+ as long as the warning was on the dash. Once tires were inflated properly and I had driven enough distance to re-calibrate, warning light went off and I was then able to toggle between the settings! Weird, my 2015 M3 never did that. Almost like Big Brother is watching!
Good to know - appreciate the tip to prevent future frustration (as I detest Comfort mode and lack the patience to use it, even if just to warm up a l'il faster); however, this should be under an old thread about annoying M2 facts, not fun ones.

He's talking about when you're completely off the clutch - not all MT cars creep when there's zero pressure on the clutch. My Miata does not do it; it's been hit or miss for all the other cars I've owned.

The m2 n55 is somewhat improved over its other iterations forged internals, pistons from s55, it can handle some more tuning.and is an all around durable engine

No, piston and rod are the same as M235, which means not lighter. From S55 is the bearing, which means more durable. Instead, lighter is the crank which means a tad less drivetrain power loss.

English is not my native language but I'm pretty sure 'underpower' means not having enough power. There is nothing said in riddles.

The funny thing is, aside from my posts, this thread is more about fun facts about bmw car, than about m2.
