As you said to each his own, but I personally don't care for the mix and match approach. I prefer continuity.
I agree. However, I've been down the road of buying carbon trim. Aftermarket guys are just wrapping OEM parts in carbon. The net result is the parts are several mm's larger than stock and they just don't fit. Yes, they look nice, but every part I ever got didn't fit like OEM - obviously, they aren't the same size anymore. Now, BMW OEM parts like the rear diffusor and mirror caps are PURE carbon parts - not wrapped plastic! If they offered it for the interior, I'd do it. Pretty sure the steering wheel piece is actually wrapped plastic, but it looked too nice to turn down.
If someone has pics of the interior swapped to gloss, with good experience with aftermarket parts, I'd love to hear it. DB Carbon was willing to do it for me, but the cost was ridiculous.

Wow, another one so close! Nope, I have NY plates. Cool that quite a few have taken the leap on the full wrap.

Very nice, but it needs some springs/coilovers.

Also not sure why you went with the gloss carbon for the steering wheel. The rest of the interior trim is dry carbon. Looks out of place in my opinion, but like you said, to each his own.

Good to know that the Focal stuff fits in the M2. I have the BMW-specific coaxes and subs in my 135 and really like them, though I'm not totally convinced they're worth the money. Though, I'd absolutely take Focal over Bavsound.

Nice write ups. Since the speaker install, have you considered swapping the amp?

Thank you. The system does not get that loud, yet I've never turned it up all the way (even though I turn it up almost all the way frequently). I love doing a budget install and really want to be able to turn it back to stock when I sell the car. If there is an inexpensive compatible amp solution, I'd love to hear about it. I'm pretty satisfied with the sound now though, sweet highs, reasonable mids and punchy, solid bass.

Ah thanks. I don't have my car yet but if I start tinkering with the stereo components, I'll report back. Keep up the nice build!
