I may have seen you actually. At some point last week I think it was, I saw a MG M2 going up Lawrence Expy, right on Tasman, and then cutting through the industrial roads and off up Great America Pkway towards 237. We should try and arrange a get together of Bay Area M2s with owners on here... once my car arrives!

Stay Within Defined BMW VISCOSITY Range
Just follow the BMW Specs and Viscosity Range
. It is telling that Motul, Liqui Moly, Mobile 1 and Pennzoil all recommend a 40 weight oil for the N55 and N55 Variant (M2) as the preferred oil viscosity. If you live in a cold climate where temps are regularly below 20F then choose the thinner oil spec within the range which BMW has defined. Here in the HOT South (garaged car) a 5W-40 may just be the optimal solution. The BMW 0W-30 would serve as a broad spectrum - one size fits all lubricant. Your particular location may warrant and be better served by a thinner or thicker oil. Cheers |
