Its a great look upgrade for less than $200 that helps the back end of the car (the stock tips are just too small, I don't think they should have come this big from factory but they should have been bigger).

Also thanks to @Chrisk for posting about these, that is how I found out about em.

Right side is new, left is old
How do these clamp on? LOL the Ebay seller only has 3 tips in stock. Thanks!

they go in same as stock, they have the same clips. Stock ones are kind of a pain to remove but once removed, these go in very easy.

When I bought mine there were only 3 too, message them and they will add more

What do these tips weigh?

My AA tips are true double wall, install with band clamps, and are heavy. Would be cool if I could drop a few pounds with lighter tips.

Is is possible to add tips with a 80mm ID on a stock exhaust? Could a shop come up with a adapter to make this work. Would it be worth the hassle?

A machine shop could make adapters easy.

Would it be worth the hassle? Probably not.

A shop can make an adapter, but I'll tell you my own recent troubles trying to do something similar. I have the Remus Race which has 60 mm OD pipes. Before installing the Remus, I had the BMW M Performance carbon tips on the stock exhaust. These have a 70mm ID. I liked the way they looked as they complement the CF diffuser, etc. You would think it's easy to find a shop to make an adaptor. No. I tried a local exhaust shop and a local metal fabricators. Neither could help. I ended up going with shop that makes custom exhaust tips and they were able to build the adapter to spec, but it's been a long journey that I'm still not completely done with. Let's hope it's worth it.

The fit and finish of these tips are top notch! Plenty of room between the tips and CF diffuser. This is how the car should have been stock.

97mm OD, 70mm ID

Tips are here: https://www.ebay.com/itm/203185400540

Hi all, on the Mode or Ebay tips does anyone have a rough length measurement to the longest portion of the tip? The Mode's are currently out of stock in black and the ebay links earlier in this post are too old at this point.
I found these on Aliexpress that seem as if they would be pretty close to some of these others. I definitely do not want them sticking out too far though. It looks like they are 140mm (although another spot they list as 142mm)....

https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256804511395814.html

TIA!

Looks like the black Mode tips are no longer (at least for time being). I went ahead and ordered the Aliexpress ones I linked to above. They confirmed they are 140mm in length and groove cut-out length for the alignment pin on top is same as OEM, so with all this said I think are pretty close to the Modes.

These will stick out ~1" more over stock - I have them. I'm in the minority that actually like stainless/polished exhaust tips. I like the look, mine were a little too tucked in before.

I also have a EL midpipe and depending on how you install it can effect how much your hangers are being pushed on/kick the tips out.

Thanks. I received mine from Aliexpress a couple of days ago. I haven't installed them yet but looks about .75" longer. Stock tips = 4.75" . New ones I received = 5.5"

I ran these for 2 or 3 months maybe and the paint peels off. The seller has confirmed this is an issue except on the chromed ones...
This was after a roadtrip of 2000km through Germany. Car was stock with OPF delete and AA EL MP.

Did you order through Aliexpress? If so which vendor? I'm sure most of them are probably the same but still curious. I threw mine on today. Fortunately, not sticking out too far and look good for now. I guess time will tell...
