The car was built on November 8, 2019

When I found out online that it was at a local dealership I knew I had to take a look

It has every factory option I would have chosen had I decided to order my own M2C

When I arrived at the dealership on December 30th it had only 11 miles on the odometer and looked great both inside and out

By the time I finished my test drive it had 41 miles

Thankfully, I had a very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable salesperson

I took delivery the following day (New Year's Eve)

I have very much enjoyed the first three months that I have had with this car

As of today (April 1, 2020) it has around 3600 miles on the odometer including 2 track days Homestead Miami Speedway and 2 track days at Sebring International Raceway

The car strikes a wonderful balance between performance and practicality

Of course, there is always room for improvement...

So far the S55 engine has performed exceptionally well both on the road and at the track

It is basically stock at the moment due primarily to concerns about losing the factory warranty

Nevertheless, the temptation to tune is very strong so it will be interesting to see how long I can resist

The only upgrades at the moment are a BMS Oil Catch Can and a complete Akrapovic Titanium Evolution Link Pipe and Rear Slip On Exhaust System

Transmission

I had an E90 Clutch Slave Cylinder (21526785964) installed in order to remove the clutch delay valve (CDV) that is present in the stock clutch slave cylinder

It made the clutch engagement point easier to feel and more predictable which I liked

However, it also made the clutch pedal feel a little softer which I did not

As a result, I had an Ultimate Clutch Pedal (UCP) installed

It is currently setup with both of the original clutch pedal springs in the middle position of the pedal and with two washers removed from the UCP supplied clutch stop

This firmed things up nicely

The UCP rests a little lower than stock which makes it easier to reach and the clutch now engages closer to the floor which I also find helpful

The lower panel below the steering column did need to be trimmed slightly to insure there was no interference with the UCP on my car

Next up was an Auto Solutions Short Shift Kit (stock height, 20% shift reduction and 80a+ bronze polyurethane front bushings)

I also had some Rogue Engineering Transmission Mounts installed at the same time as the stock mounts are very soft

The transformation in shifts are truly remarkable

The shifter feels much tighter, more stable and more precise

Brakes

The 2NH brakes are probably the best factory brakes I've ever had on track

Upgrades include Pagid RSL29 brake pads, Optimum Performance Titanium Brake Pad Shims, Goodridge Stainless Steel Brake Lines and Castrol SRF Fluid

The pads for the 6 piston front and 4 piston rear calipers are simply massive both in terms of area and volume.

The front RSL29s had a pad thickness of 19.5 mm when new and there was still room for a 1 mm titanium shim when installed

The rear pad thickness was 18 mm when new and also had room for a 1 mm shim when installed

The pedal is now very firm providing strong initial bite with good modulation and fade resistance (although I do still experience occasional pad knock back)

Pad wear appears to be excellent so far after 4 track days with plenty of material remaining

Did you manage to get a discount? I imagine given the economy the dealerships are likely very empty

I bought my car at the end of December 2019 which was before the whole coronavirus thing exploded

The dealerships around here in South Florida usually have very high prices as well as very high fees

Just a few months earlier many were trying to sell these cars at or even above MSRP

The discount I worked out was 5% off MSRP for the car and 15% off all parts and accessories

At the time I thought it was a fairly good deal
