I don't think it's about 400hp being outrageous to control (could be wrong) but more about getting flat on the pedal sooner without as much modulation.

Think of F1 car torque maps, they can switch them around and driver can remain completely flat on the pedal when in the rain for example. Then driver can fine tune on the steering wheel iirc. But I digress...

Thanks in advance!
I just flashed the CS+ couple days ago and what a difference compared to stock. It has a pretty decent top-end and most importantly the power delivery is exactly like stock. Love it so far!
I see you bit the bullet and finally flash tuned.. I remember we was going back on forth last summer on if the warranty still retains since the tuners nowadays allow you lock the flash counter.. Good times..

Any videos of vehicle on pull, post CS tune?

Despite the flash counter freeze, the warranty is always at risk with any kind of tune IMO (piggyback or flash). In other words, I'm aware of the risk and prepared to get denied if something goes wrong due to the tune Unfortunately, I don't have any videos yet but I'm planning to do more track days in the next couple weeks. I'll definitely post those videos here.

I use Geico Mechanical Breakdown insurance rider add-on to supplement any claims that might get denied, due to a tune or whatever BS they might throw. I feel confident enough to at this juncture that flash tunes are reasonable safe.. It's amazing nowadays you can upload it from an APP. #CoolnessOverload

However, I reckon that a stock S55 would satiate my thirst for power..

Another thing, when I worked for a major wireless carrier, at their phone insurance seminar, I remember they told us that if a phone doesn't show defects in parts and assembly with a year of operation, there's a 90% chance it would stay functional within its shelf life. The same principle applies to a vehicle; if a car doesn't show any signs that it has a major flaw or a its lemon within a couple of months of operations, more than likely it is safe to tune without risk of any sort of mechanical failure.

The warranty is just marketing, per se..

Can I add Geico MBI even if my primary auto coverage is not with Geico?

I have Wawanesa. Rates are great so I do not want to change companies.

All of us are afraid to go to the dealer so they don't update our software.

Just got the info that they have updated the DME unit....
Something about exhaust pressure and emissions.

Need to connect the car to BM3 to verify but it sounds like they will update the DME on all services from now on.
Booked the service last week and at that time they didn't have any information about a DME update

Update!!
Just tried to connect and it looks ok to be flashed🤭
Will try to flash later this evening

Update 2...
DME is locked and can't be flashed at this time unfortunately.
Just hope that PTF/BM3 team will solve this asap

Got this info from BM3 Team,

This message means that we don't have support for your DME. For the M2C BMW recently (March 2019 software update) has changed what was being used to unlock the DME over the OBD port. This has locked out all flash tools out there regardless of brand and no one including us has a solution for it yet. We are working on it, and hoping we're gonna have a solution for it soon. Our M2C is being picked up tomorrow, and we're hoping to have the solution very soon. If you are not comfortable with the wait, we can refund you the money for your license, and when support is out, you can re purchase your license.

I'm a BM3 customer and this new software issue doesn't affect me but I have to say their statement about nobody having a solution yet is not true. Apparently, BPM still offers OBD unlock and was well prepared for this nee software. If you check their official thread on F80 forum, they even mention all the software versions they support in detail. So long story short, some platforms do have a solution and I really hope BM3 can take of this on their end asap.

Does anyone know if it's permanent when you program the exhaust flap to be always opened via bm3? Or is it temporary like bimmerlink?
