why wouldn't they be able to fit a 245 to 275 tire with a 35 profile? are you saying you want a 265 or 275 wide tire with a 40 profile?

for your reference i run 18x10 with 275/35 rs3's on all four corners for the track and 245/265 re11 on the stock zcp wheels for daily. i don't see any performance that i'm giving up in my two setups. i mean, how much tire do you need for the street? just don't slap on some ventus v12's

Didn't the F10 M5 do this same thing? I remember thinking why the fast update to the M5....

I am buying a performance car and I also want the performance transmission to go with it. Don't see many MT in F1 these days do you?

Having said that, I expect BMW to offer choices and let the buyer chose what options they want, that way we can all be happy.
i laugh whenever someone compares a dual clutch system with F1 because it is nothing close to it. Do you have to do this?

Yeah, it came way quicker than what seemed fair to the early adopters.

There was no quick update to the M5. Competition Packet came exactly 2years after launch in May 2011. The US market got the car a year later in 2012.
Europe had the car in November 2011.

So what you are saying is that when they released the 1M,it received the LCI update before the regular 1 series did and BMW is going to do the same thing with the M2.

Yes that is exactly what I am saying. We will see LCI cars running around soon enough with the updates, and it's a strong possibility both LCI 2er series cars as we'll as the M2 will get the new generation motors.

Probably not. I believe BMWFS will extend a lease only up to 6 months and then only if you have a new BMW on order.

Maybe they'll write you a new lease with new terms, payment amount, etc. for another set term (12, 24, 36 months or whatever), but that would probably not be as good a deal financially.
Bummer. I was hoping the timing would work out but it sounds like it probably won't.

You can forget it. The 1M was a tease, and the tease while alive and well, is simply over.

1M got the LCI updates the same time as the regular E8x series cars did.

The 1M & 1er Electric Coupe' were seen in the wild [w/ LCI changes] before the LCI changes were shown on the standard 1er series car.

Very true and nicely said. That is the good thing about the forum, we can discuss (argue) about the things that are important to each of us in this coming weapon.

Let's see 1M is true halo car, can BMW really pass up the chance to do the same again ? I would like to think that BMW still has a lot of surprises up its sleeve and engines, gearboxes and build numbers fall into that category.

So now that there will be an "M2" are they going to drop the m235i moniker and just go back to "235i MSport" like they do with the rest of the lineup?

That is great news because I am ordering the M2 as soon as it is available and I would like it to have the latest changes that BMW does with the LCI.

I do believe there will be three levels: base, M Performance and M. Sort of how Audi does base, S and RS.

Is it just me or does anybody else think the front fender at the driver door looks Like a really crappy add on? Is that some kind of vent? Completely ruins it for me, otherwise a fantastic looking car.

Think that will make it in production?

Next: it better not have the N55. It has to have a proper M motor.

That's the M235iR body work, the reveal of the real panels has yet to be seen.
