And the M2 already has bracing between the strut towers underneath the plastic/rubber. |

Thanks! I can't even express how great the handling feels now! It's almost as good as if not better than the M2C handling. I guess that M2C carbon fibre strut bar is the reason for the M2C's better handling over the M2. Much tighter feeling front end. I highly recommend it

Whereas yours is smooth: Maybe they changed the part before the LCI came out? Idk. |

Like I remember some folks with 2015 M235i with a 03/15 and older build date, was given 4G iDrive, unannounced, while the upgrade was officially designated for the 2016 MY. All builds prior to that date March date had 3G iDrives only. Same as when the M2 when it had a LCI change for 2018 MY; the 03/17 and above 2017 MY automatically was given the new LED adaptive headlights, gratis. Frankly, I'm surprise you have the older iDrive controller but it is certainly the right part because the dealer wouldn't have been able to do any software updates, had their been any hardware mismatch. |

Well I seemed to have scraped the driver side front fender somehow, I think when taking the garbage out. I have PPF there so ultimately the car is probably fine but I don't think I can buff the ppf to make it look perfect until the PPF is removed so I'm sad I have to look at it. I feel like the PPF after 3.5 years is looking slightly yellowed so I notice the difference between panels with and without a little bit more now if I'm looking close. Blue car though so not obvious.
In regards to the above post about the controls mine looks identical and it's an October 31 build date I think. |

One tip for anyone else - the room is tight to get the screws out from under the glass. I had to run out and get a new bit (twice) since my Torx set was more like a screwdriver set. Got T15 for center then when I got to the rear I noticed it was T20 and had to go get another bit. I feel like this should have been an early mod instead of waiting so long to upgrade. It's something that I will use on every drive. The long term will justify the upgrade for me. |
