Turner's customer service has been great during all of this, though their quality control and shipping department could use some work.

My Carbon Intake came with the first order, but the reflective tape was printed upside down, so they had to send me another one. I also had to dremel out the bottom hole on the passenger side brace some to make it fit, but you can't even see it.
These look really cool but must have cost a bit? Weren't you tempted by M3/4 retrofit.

It reinforces where it matters more, between the strut towers. Tbh I think endlessly bracing the very front of the car seems a bit futile?
Actually, they were only $679 and just replaces the existing bracing with stiffer carbon fiber ones. The M3/4 retrofit costs over $2000 and adds extra bracing on top of the existing bracing.

And the M2 already has bracing between the strut towers underneath the plastic/rubber.

Never even heard of these until now. Looks fantastic.
Thanks! I can't even express how great the handling feels now! It's almost as good as if not better than the M2C handling. I guess that M2C carbon fibre strut bar is the reason for the M2C's better handling over the M2. Much tighter feeling front end. I highly recommend it

Here's another angle. Realized afterwards that I forgot to paint behind the tips.

Don't mind the painters tape, just covering the holes from the rear reflector while the honeycomb insert is in transit.

They are now $800 and quoting Sep. Very cool upgrade

Yeah, they had them on sale for quite a while. I guess they finally went back to regular price.

Love those turner braces

I want to snag a set and pair it with the Wiechers carbon strut brace

Might chop the selector shaft down some.
Is that an LCI/id6 iDrive controller? Looks different in my Pre-LCI.

Weird. It's a 2017. Unless the guy who leased it before I bought it swapped it out...?

Weird, in my 2017 (ID5) it has a distinct cut off for the buttons:

Whereas yours is smooth:

Maybe they changed the part before the LCI came out? Idk.

I have a very late 2017 (late May/early June), and it has the smooth style. Probably changed just before LCI.

You probably have the early version for iDrive 5. BMW always have a soft changeover at the 03/XX mark, before the model year officially rolls over.

Like I remember some folks with 2015 M235i with a 03/15 and older build date, was given 4G iDrive, unannounced, while the upgrade was officially designated for the 2016 MY. All builds prior to that date March date had 3G iDrives only.

Same as when the M2 when it had a LCI change for 2018 MY; the 03/17 and above 2017 MY automatically was given the new LED adaptive headlights, gratis.

Frankly, I'm surprise you have the older iDrive controller but it is certainly the right part because the dealer wouldn't have been able to do any software updates, had their been any hardware mismatch.

That makes sense. My build date is October 2016 so while it's a MY '17 it's one of the earlier ones.

Well I seemed to have scraped the driver side front fender somehow, I think when taking the garbage out. I have PPF there so ultimately the car is probably fine but I don't think I can buff the ppf to make it look perfect until the PPF is removed so I'm sad I have to look at it. I feel like the PPF after 3.5 years is looking slightly yellowed so I notice the difference between panels with and without a little bit more now if I'm looking close. Blue car though so not obvious.

In regards to the above post about the controls mine looks identical and it's an October 31 build date I think.

Went in smooth. First door took maybe 15min and second door seemed way faster. This was after I watched a bunch diys beforehand. Like them so far but still doing break in with them. Weird cause it sounds like I don't having any rear speakers anymore lol. Plus I didn't realize how puny those stock magnets are.

Had some other fun things to install but was getting hot and my post install test drive was longer then expected.
Did Etons in the center and rear today! Didn't take pics cause it's pretty much same. The center was a coaxial speaker and I noticed the magnet was slightly smaller then the components.

One tip for anyone else - the room is tight to get the screws out from under the glass. I had to run out and get a new bit (twice) since my Torx set was more like a screwdriver set. Got T15 for center then when I got to the rear I noticed it was T20 and had to go get another bit.

I feel like this should have been an early mod instead of waiting so long to upgrade. It's something that I will use on every drive. The long term will justify the upgrade for me.

where did you end up ordering from? Pondering this upgrade as well. Did you / do you plan to do the subs too?
