M Performance Parts
My dealer got two allocation slots and it looks like I may be getting one. Awaiting final details for ordering and confirmation.
Is/Has anyone added M Performance parts or is it even possible on an M2CS? I am thinking side skirt winglets to match the front lip spoiler at the minimum, but there are others that look tantalizing. Last edited by chrisfortier; 09-09-2020 at 03:14 PM.. |

I recall reading that the engineers said don't mix M Perf aero parts on this car as it wasn't designed for it.

I don't see any harm in getting the side winglets....doubtful they do anything aero wise, but they do tie up the look with the front lip.
As far as mixing aero parts, I read that if you get the CS rear deck spoiler, you should get the CS front lip too. Doing one or the other is ill-advised according to BMW. |

The effect of these aero devices won't appreciably change the dynamics of the car on the street. You'll see many cars running spoiler but no front lip - they haven't flown off the street yet. On the track you may notice a slight unbalance but realistically you can fix that by sticking any front lip on. The vice-versa is true, although more uncommon as the spoiler is the easier mod.

There is also rumor that the factory exhaust is a single piece and would need to be cut to replace any portion.

The side wing are the only part I would consider putting on and I might actually move them over from my OG. What other M perf parts would you replace the stock ones with?

So... in summary: If you fit anything that isn't listed as a CS Option, you will reduce the value of your purchase to scrap as far as future owners are concerned. Its not about you, it's about the future owners.

Going to bail (and get from IND) on the DCT and parking brake parts and skip the exhaust tips.
I am still on the fence with the winglets. I like the look, but is cleaning/dirt an issue? Detailing the body looks like it would be a problem too. It looks like they get glued to the car with adhesive as well. What are others experiences that have these? Last edited by chrisfortier; 10-21-2020 at 11:57 AM.. |

VIA Options
For anyone who'd been checking, all the VIA options are not available for the CS. (List is essentially the same as for the 2020 Comps) and your dealer should be able to add them to the build.

Landed up ordering the CF kidney and side grilles and stainless steel pedals.
The front winglets are a different height on the CS, so lines with the rear winglets would not look right, IMHO. I did not try, but seems like the exhaust tips would require cutting, so did not get those either. |

What i would be doing is to find a CF seat from the new m3/m4 and put it on the CS. Those seats are perfect
