Michelin Pilot Sport 4S pricing and weight

Was looking at pricing and weight at tirerack.com and it is interesting that 255s front and 275 rears are less expensive than 245s and 265s. See Below:

OEM:
245/35/19 (23 pounds) >> $280.99 ($13/each more than 255s)
265/35/19 (27 pounds) >> $323.99 ($10/each more than 275s)

255/35/19 (24 pounds) >> $267.99
275/35/19 (27 pounds) >> $313.99

other than 1 more pound in the fronts, it seems 255s and 275s is the way to go when it comes to the PILOT SPORT 4S.

Just to note for what it's worth,

The MPS4S are slightly narrower tread width for the same specs.

245/35/19 MPSS tread width is 8.8". MPS4S is 8.6"

255/35/19 MPS4S is 8.9"

So all in all I think it works out better to go with 255 front and 275 rear! Nice find on the cheaper price too!

interesting as I have been told the 4s run wider than most tires at the same size.

Every source I've found including the f80 bimmerpost forums have said MPS4S are narrower. Even the official Michelin specs show them to be narrower when mounted on the same size rim width.
