I'd like a beater - but I'd want an old truck with a bit of a rat rod look mainly for the use of the bed for picking up plants and moving stuff. At any rate, that mazda is definitely a beater! How many miles on it?

I used to have an 89 CRX as a beater, rattle canned green and it ran like a champ. Bought if for $500, put about 20k miles on it, then sold it for $500.
My plan after moving into a house with a garage is to buy another <$1000 Honda to strip, build, turbo and likely blowup regularly. I love my 335i but I’m afraid to go BIG power because it’s currently my only car, not to mention if I blow the motor it’s a small fortune. If I blow a D16 I’m only out a few hundred bucks! So that’s what I want — a beater racecar! |

I have a couple beaters for drifting.
1996 Mustang GT. 140k miles. Rattle can black. Stripped interior. coil overs, poly bushings, panhard bar, hacked and weld front control arms for more steering lock, hydro hand brake, welded diff. This car is now for my 16 and 14 year olds to learn to drift in as I built a 2003 350Z drift car late last year. It has 110k miles, bought it needing a clutch, so upgraded to light weight fly wheel at same time as high performance clutch installed. Body has some previous low quality repairs to front and left quarter panel. BC coil overs, wise fab lock kit for 63 degrees steering angle, poly bushings, sway bars, tomei lsd with 4.10 gears, hydro hand brake, 6 point roll cage. I put twice into mods than what paid for car |

Same. Currently have an e53 4.4 with oe 4.8is front and rear bumpers and Corsa exhaust that replaced my C5 Z06. The looks I would get when people found out I daily’d a Z06 and weekend/nice day drove my garaged e30.(24v swap with procharger.)

2005 Xterra Off Road I bought new and see no reason to swap. Had the rad swapped for an aftermarket piece to avoid the Strawberry Milkshake of Death (SMOD). It's a blast off road and quicker on the street than you might imagine, especially round the curves. Thank you, Bilstein.
Trouble with running a small beater as a commuter car in this state are the prohibitive insurance rules and registration costs. You don't save a penny despite the better gas mileage. |

1995 F150 with 351 Windsor and 223k on the clock. I paid $1500 for it three years ago. Since then I replaced the water pump and the starter for $70 and $50 respectively. Other than that, it's just been the cost of gas (it gets 11 mpg). I'm extremely happy with it.

2008 Vaxhaul Corsa VXR
I owned a 2008 Vaxhaul Corsa VXR with mods on it such as a straight pipe and drilled disc brakes.
I was in the relam of car beating i would say probs could do 0-60 in around 6 seconds with the mods. Was very fast and LOUD. Sold it after 11 months due to wanting somethign more practicle. Currently i am driving my mum's 2004 toyota carolla vvt-i t spirit auto 5 door which cannot compare. It is more practicle though. surpisingly, the mpg is not that good. probs does about 35 mpg max. I tried to upload some pics of the corsa but says file is too big . |

For work days and for long road trips - 2017 WRX. For weekend shopping, errands, feel like a youngster again driving a manual, etc- 2003 M3 or 2007 S2000.

2010 corolla. and I can't call her a beater. she's just to good to be a beater. does her job every day no complaints. hauls the dogs. gets filthy and is fine all on her own! unlike any of the others. those can not be left alone, do not enjoy being dirty refuse to get wet and complain a lot. they also refuse to haul the dogs and be ate in. it almost seems like comparing 2 different classes of women. divas vs a cool ass chick. the divas are great to be seen with but what a bitch to own and keep. yet the cool ass chick is just down to ride and any time. aw car life.

2010 Prius, best car ever. We drive it more than the M2C, M3 and GT3 combined. Gets 40 mpg even with a lead foot, lots of room and I never have to wash it.
