Looks like I might be Running bigger than stock tires on my FI-R. Not 100% sure but
255/35 or 265/35 up front and 275/35 or 284/35 in rear. I am also lowered on Eibach so I will have to let you guys know how it goes when they come in. Everyone is recommending going bigger than the stock 265-35 unless your car is super low.....

Thanks let me know. I would love to know if I can go a touch wider on the tires.

I'm running 255/275/35/19 P4S on BBS FI-R lowered on M performance coilovers. One finger gap all around between tire and fender with no rub.

Sorry to thread jack. Figured this question could help those who may be in similar situation.

I’m looking at acquiring some BBS wheels as well. 20”x9.5 front ET23, 20”x11 rear ET40.

Does anyone know if 255/30 and 285/30 tires fit, on stock suspension without rubbing? Would 245/30 and 275/30 be the best way to go?

I’m not too familiar with wheel fitment, so hopefully someone will have more info and experience on this.

Thank you!

Given your wheel spec, you'll be fine with 245/30/20 at front. But 255/30 front and 275/285/30 back rub. You need 25 series tire at back.

You can always adjust the camber for more clearance at back but that comes with side effect.

Give it a full steering turn and hold it, get off the car and see for yourself. You can kiss your fender liner goodbye if you do that often.

Also be careful with speed bump especially when carrying passenger. And refrain yourself from any track event, HPDE or even spirited mountain pass, etc.

That being said, driving your M2 in a restrictive manner you'll be fine.

+22 front and +35 rear. No spacers, just standard wheels and no camber plates.

No pictures posted anywhere after the drop. Will take some when weather clears up.

Most common set up on stock suspension or lowered is:

19x9.5 +22 - 255/35/19
19x10.5 +35 - 275/35/19

20x9.5 - 245/30/20
20x10.5 - 265/30/20

The 20 option sits a little stretched... 19" is more common on the M2 + M2 C

Thanks Justin, Do you think 255/35 19 up front and 285/35 19 rear would be to much if lowered?

Depends on how low and what kind of tire

Some tire brands run a bit slimmer than their rating.

If you like we can discuss over email

Have you seen anyone run 265/35 and 295/30 on an M2? I am considering buying a BBS FI-R wheel and tire set but concerned on fitment. I am also on coilovers so I have some adjustability.

265/35/19 and 295/30/19 is not the proper set up, recommended is 265/30/19 | 295/30/19

The 265/35/19 will not work in the front either way if you plan on lowering it more than 3/4 of an inch.

Subscribed. I'm looking at a similar set up - 19" FI-R with 255/275 /35/19 PSS or PS4 and about a .8"-1" drop all around. Figured this would be okay with no issues rubbing based on my F80 set up and other more aggressive M2 wheel/tire sets up I've seen. But want to make sure.

Not my OG BSM M2 - on MPerf suspension.

OEM M4 763m alloys F 19" x 9" cw 29mm & R 20" x 10" cw et40mm

OEM M4 CS MPSC2 tyres - F 265/35/19 & R 285/30/20

Taken from this M3Cutters forum thread...https://forums.m3cutters.co.uk/threa...-sizes.209097/

Good to know that rear 265 tyre works on OEM front 9" et29mm wheel even when lowered...

Thanks for the feedback all, I'll likely stick with the OEM tire sizing and run my FI-Rs. I actually prefer them to look of the RI-Ds - those designs are a bit too tame for my taste; plus the cut out holes are gorgeous. Thanks SeanWRT for providing the comparison pics.

Should I decide to track, I'll get different wheels and tires.
