....and dammit that makes it harder! SO and LBB both look a LOT better with the black wheels. I even hate the 788's less now!

I loved the 437 until it felt like every M car has them. The 788 is a nice change. Hoped a lot lot more from BMW but I’ll take it over the 437 just because it’s soemthing new to the eyes. 437 would have been a solid predecessor to 788

I thought they would be more gun metal. Guess we don't really know for sure yet. If it's just black I would prefer the silver.

I recall the same a while back, but they're officially referenced as "black" or "jet black" now.

This is basically the only pic we have. Doesn't the face look graphite color? Or is the face going to be matte black with gloss centers? Definitely doesn't look all one finish/color.

I feel like the awesomeness of the rotor and caliper get lost with the silver faced wheels. The black really shows it off.

I don't think that pic is accurate at all. I've seen that problem before with the M235 black wheels in the order guides. I think 29U will be satin black, I think I've seen it written somewhere.

I changed my M2C to the black 788M's after looking at them on LBB. Reminded me of the black 359M wheels on a LeMans Blue e92 M3.

Like the "black" comp wheels on the M4. Just black behind the faces.

There is no doubt the wheel barrels will be black on both versions of the 788M wheels.

The question is, gloss black or a gun metal front finish on the "black" wheel.

The black 666M wheels are gloss black everywhere except the faces. I think the best way to describe the face of this wheel is that it's machined and then tinted dark. The dark tinted faces catch the light and add an interesting dimension to the wheels. I bet the black 788M wheels will be similar.

I'm always a fan of Mesh wheels, to me it's a classic look on BMWs, 437 (5star) Style is too played out in my opinion.

Yup, this is what I was trying to get at with the picture I posted above of 29U 788M. They aren’t all back wheels. The faces are a lighter color. It would make sense it will be similar to the silver vs black 666M.
