I'd like to know if this matches OEM BMW M carbon fiber parts - can anyone answer? I have the M carbon spoiler / diffuser on the car.

These are the same 2x2 twill weave as the M Performance parts.

Any chance these could be refinished in matte clear?

Yes we can add a matte clear to them as we do to our shifter paddles.

I just bought those matte paddles and they arrived today - can't wait to put them on. They look great!

And I just bought these mirror caps. I have a problem.

I finally gave in and order these caps today. I haven’t seen installation instructions anywhere though. Does anyone have them?

I thought it was just using a pry tool to release the stock mirror covers and then just snapping in the new covers.

You can do it that way as well, but run the risk of breaking the tabs on the stock mirror covers. From experience the tabs break 75% of the time doing it this method.

By removing the glass you can access the tabs from the inside to depress them to remove the cap.

I currently have BMW MP CF mirror caps installed, so also wondering if there is any problem replacing BMW M performance ones out to these pieces? Tabs on mirror that holds the clips of the cap need to be broken to fit screws and washers that are required to install BMW OEM CF mirror caps. Meaning that mirror will not have the tabs any more if that is the only way to hold AutoTechnic mirror cap and mirror together.
BTW, stock mirror caps can revert back to the mirror even after losing the tabs after installing CF ones.
I have these on my car and can tell you that there is no gap on mines, they look amazing by the way.

Removing the glass is pretty simple, this is one of the easiest mods

Just installed these great caps. Took me about 5 minutes to do both.

Thanks Ind.

I ended up just doing that per a YouTube video. The stock caps came off with no breakage of any tabs.

Yes but it will be a smooth finish and not a textured finish that is found on the interior trim.

Just put these on today. Install is very easy if you remove the mirror glass.

Passenger cover popped right into place. Driver cover took some retries until it finally seated properly. Fitment is great and they look fantastic.

Highly recommend this product!
