I saw it twice, I was horribly disappointed the first time; in yellow afternoon sun it looked so very green. This is going to sound crazy but it had a hint of a 90s Ford Taurus green to it. The second time, the light was different and it looked better although still not like most pictures portray it. I would probably buy it over MG still which would be my 2nd choice. MG is the safe choice no doubt and I don't think anyone will regret MG.

I don't agree, but we can agree to disagree . I park near an M6 in SMB at work and it is an awesome color. I would take it as first choice if it were offered on the M2, M3, and M4.

You won't see that quality of paint and metallic pop on a Peugeot or Renault I promise you .

No worries chris719 , I saw the M2 irl in LBB and an X6M irl @ my dealership.

Anyway, looking at the 'M' logo. I know the heritage of the colours etc, but the lightest blue looks like LBB a bit doesn't it? And the darkest could be SMB.

The 'red' could be seen as ??? I'm not into (M) colours but let's say Hellrot on the E30 M3?

So far so good

Cheers

For those of you that are in the imaging or graphics field, here is something that I dug out, the color names and codes used in the ///M stripes:

Pantone:
Blue — Pantone Process Blue
Purple — Pantone 268
Red — Pantone Warm Red

Paint:
blue violett GLASURIT-BMW 4000
light blue GLASURIT-BMW 5002
red GLASURIT-BMW 353

RGB:
Blue — 0 138 201 (Hex: 008AC9)
Purple — 43 17 90 (Hex: 2B115A)
Red — 241 26 34 (Hex: F11A22)

Pantone = color process (order) used by printing shops to define colors.

Paint = in this case it is refering to a GLASURIT paint code. Or a specific mix of auto paints.

RGB = Red, Green, Blue. The same process your computer monitor or TV uses to make colors.

YMB comes closer yep you're right.

But I don't like YMB either
I saw it on an F80 M3 last year outside my dealership in cloudy weather, it was only 6 months old or so.
If it didn't have that colour I probably 'd have bought that car.

AW with all the carbon exterior bits gets more appealing by the day.

I really need to see this colour, but chances are it will be a while in the UK. The colour will at least be different to most other things out there.

The rear looks very aggressive during the first drive bye I love it. Especially the rear fender flares... the lighting and angle really accentuate them nicely.

You can all argue what you want, but LBB is the only color that makes this car come alive...........

And that is all I want.

Saw LBB today for the first time outside with the afternoon northern hemisphere sun and I can say it looks exactly like below: amazing color!

Note: I did not take a picture because it was a X6M.

Individual Shadow Line is standard on the M2 with option Chrome Line available in some markets.

The US is one of the few markets that get the Individual option Shadow Line as standard on all cars. Over here it is a $400 option on all cars (included in M Sport package).
