Note, I'm not commenting on the ability to shift - touching it does on what the clutch is doing - just how the lever feels.
it was an improvement for me

I'm going to be installing a Auto Solutions SSK along with the UCP when I take delivery of my 2020 this summer.

http://www.autosolutions.net/

Here's a review of it:

http://m3.madrussian.net/review_as_ssk.shtml

The owner, Ronald is quick to answer questions and each kit is made from scratch..

Did you contact him to make a custom kit for you? I don't see the F87 listed on their site.

Sounds legit though - let us know how it is!

Ronald's website as you noticed is very "simple"

He does indeed make F87 kits, and he's already made mine to my specs even though my car wont be in my hands till June TY. The shifter is $449, and its worth every dollar!

Contact him with any questions: Ronald@autosolutions.net

He makes each shifter to your specs..

Wow, the AutoSolutions site has some great technical explanations and info! I've got a Shifteck SSK still unopened, but I think I will sell it, and give Ronald a call.

My main goal is reduced throw but OEM positioning (will also keep OEM knob and boot), seems like the AutoSolutions Ultimate kit is the only way to go.

Had the AS SSK on my E46 M3...would definitely recommend. I had 20% at the time; would likely do the same or maybe even 10% this time.

My Auto Solutions SSK is on it's way (got delayed due to mix-up at customs), I went with 25% reduced throw & stock shift position/height, like you I wanted to keep my oem boot/M Perf knob.

Nice!

Looking forward to read your impressions once you've got it installed and put in a spirited mile or two!

Apologies ddk632 & PiK as I hadn't seen your posts until I received a PM a day ago.

Likely you've found other info but I'll add that the Auto Solutions SSK really does transform the shift precision/feel. It being a complete linkage unit from shift lever to transmission coupler with hand assembled bronze bushings (& thus perfect tolerances) I doubt any other SSK can compare, it's definitely worth the $.

Here's a link to a good thread in the M2C section with many user reviews (our OG cars of course have identical clutch/trans/shift linkages).https://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1643086
