Washing the inside of tinted windows
I had my car tinted a week ago. They did a great job but the inside of the windows still have a hazy, soapy residue from the installation. Now that it's been a week and the film is hopefully cured, what is the best way to clean this stuff off? I think plain water would just leave it streaky. What is safe on the film?

I use this on the interior of my tinted windows and it works great:
https://www.chemicalguys.com/streak-...dow-clean.html I'd also recommend a microfiber towel designed for windows that won't leave a ton of annoying lint behind.

Don't use plain tap water, as there is minerals in it that will leave residue. Distilled water is okay, but 99% isopropyl alcohol is better because it dries quicker and leaves less streaks. It's also cheaper than any marketed window cleaner and does a better job.
Tint installer should've done a better job though. |

I use plain water with a couple of drops of dish soap. Dip a microfiber cloth in it, wring it out wipe tint and use another microfiber to dry.
I personally never use chemicals ammonia free or not. |
