Just revising an old thread, but does anyone know what type of screwdriver head is required to remove the gear shift mode selector on the M2 Competition?
Had no problems removing the trim around the gear shift selector, but then couldn't find what screwdriver I required to swap the mode button over. Many thanks |

Thanks for your help on this - after a couple of goes today, it’s two T10 screw which holds the shift speed button to the DCT surround and then a single T8 which holds the DCT lever surround in place.

No problem. I didn't recall the two T10s in the button itself! Hope it all went together good and your enjoying it!

IDK if this will help anyone for the hand brake install, but no one's mentioned it so I thought I'd chime in since it's stuck on there real tight!
What I did was to take the boot off from the center console first. Peeled the boot back and then cut the zip tie off. From here, my carpal tunnel was killing me trying to pull it off. Therefore, I just got a rubber mallet and lightly pounded on the back side of the hand brake (the plastic square part) to have it come off. After 4 taps, easily came right off and my stock hand brake in tact. Last edited by gmhl10; 03-24-2021 at 08:21 AM.. |
