Tire Mounting

Wondering who people use/trust to mount their wheels to tires. Sears, and Walmart seem to a good value. Speed shops seem to be twice as expensive. My main concern is damage to expensive wheels. Am honestly considering buying a mounter and balancer for $1500 and do it myself just to do it correctly. Many places do not pay attention to red and yellow dots on tires. Most don't even know what they are for.

I use Belle tire near my place. They have a touchless tiring mounter and seem to do a good job.

One thing to note, Belle Tire wasnt cheap. They charged me $40/corner to mount and balance. YMMV

Discount Tire usually does a good job.

I found a good local place using Tirerack's Recommended Installers I called them first to make sure they could do 17" and larger (at the time I was getting new tires for my E46 and had a bad experience with a different independent)

The tires I'm about to mount are from Tire Rack. Their list of recomended installers have reviews from on extreme to the other. Just don't want to take a chance with new wheels.

I use CostCo to purchase and install my tires, have not had any issues over the years.

i believe lots of BMW dealers may have the Corghi machines these days. they are excellent machines for both mounting and balancing. at the end of the day, it is still dependent on the person doing the work.
