BMW M2 hot-climate version

Thinking about picking up a 2018 lightly used M2 and while searching for pre-owned on BMW site, almost all shows:

Hot-Climate Version
Canadian Specifications

Anyone know what the Hot-Climate Version means?? Searched around on google but most just say the A/C runs more efficiently. Does this mean it was meant for US market?

Lastly, prices on the 2018 seems fairly decent ranging from low 50k to low 60k. Anyone recently have experience with buying one and don't mind sharing what kind of discount they were able to get?

Thanks.

All US bound cars are hot climate. Not sure if it's the same in Canada. Either way it really doesn't matter all that much if you don't live in a warm part of the world, it just means your A/C will work a little better. I wouldn't think twice about it.

Probably not if the gauges are in KPH

I've coded "hot climate" on both my E46's. The clima works a little better as andrew said.

It was enough of a difference for me to do it on both cars. If you like your clima very cold and strong, go for it

Thanks for the feedback. I was more concerned the hot-climate version would not stand up to our crazy winter weather (> -30C today).

Have never turned on the AC...does it suck if you don't have this "hot-climate" feature??
