I'm either getting old and my memory is going out the door, or........

The last time I glanced at my Rep Score I could've sworn it was in the 350's; I'm currently at 551 and I don't think I've been getting massive "Appreciate"'s lately for it to jump 200 points?

Did someone else notice this as well? (Go easy on the old fart jokes, if not.)

You can see more details of your score on the app by clicking reputation or online my going to the user account area. Once you hit a certain amount of reputation points, you appreciates go from 1 point to 1.5 points (which then are rounded up). Also, if certain of your posts/threads have a ton of views, you'll get bigger chunks in points.

I agree, it was a pretty epic takedown, if I could say so myself.

Due to anonymity of the internet and the lack of consequences, some people just come out of left field and subliminally begin attacking you or your perspective, without any provocation whatsoever.

When I actively started using message boards like Bimmerpost & Reddit, it originally caught me off guard and being a natural counter-puncher, I responded by eviscerating any and all of them, with crude & harsh retorts.

Now, I've learned the pace myself and try to be more tactful with my responses, whenever I'm sparing with the every-growing number of INCEL troll, that seems to lurk, incognito, on these sort of social communications..

I've said it before and I'll say it again. The M2 forum is hands down the best one on bimmerpost. Most everyone is knowledgeable in some or many aspects, respectful and most importantly don't take themselves seriously. We also have the best moderator. It all makes sense since the M2 is the best car BMW makes.

1.) Speccing a new 911 is somehow a contest of "EQUAL LENGTH".

2.) Every time there's a new iteration of 911, the previous-gen owners will hate on it, citing "lack of purity" and "Wow, guess I'm hanging on to my 991.2."

Most of the old timers that held the wealth of knowledge and experience has left Rennlist and Pelican. Without these assets you have what’s left and the forums credibility is lost forever. Some of these members were rockstars in the Porsche racing world. These kids had no idea who they were being a smartazz to. It didn’t take long for the knowledge based members to get fed up and leave forever. It’s now a bunch of commodity traders and vapid newbies trying to inflate their egos with the crest.
It’s a wave that has hit the Porsche forums the last few years ago. Bimmerpost is what Pelican use to be a decade ago. It’s full of real enthusiast that want to help, learn, and encourage. Absolutely a gem.
