I've read that people complain a lot about the rates but I might be mistaken.

I'm guessing I'll have to pay about $700 per year for the M2. It can't be that much cheaper for you guys, right? That is in a "big" city by our country standards but no LA.

But 53 with destination - lower than I thought it would be. Pleasantly surprised.

So, M2 is $51.7k, 0-60 in 4.1s, does the 'ring in 7:58

For comparison:
Cayman S is $64.1k (probably less standard equipment), 0-60 in 4.7s (manual) 4.4s (PDK with $port chrono), and does the 'ring in 8:04 (quickest listed wiki time).

BMW has a real ED program with a 5% discount. Porsche has no discount and most dealers take a 20% VAT deposit up front, so you get to give $12k cash to your dealer to hold at 0% for 3-4 weeks.

The M2 is looking amazing.

M235i is extremely overpriced for what you get and I expect sales to fall significantly resulting in deep discounts. People who are getting an m235 are probably the same type of person who would want a m2. Also, remember that a coupe sports car is not a very popular choice among general buyers, I do understand that the m2 will be reduced production but after the enthusiasts get their hands on it I expect discounts to start

Just my opinion though!
LOL at this thinking...

Ok.. how about.. they don't make enough for ALL the enthusiasts that want one to get one to be able to get one...

you want a discount... f*&k off and buy an M3/M4...
you want a discount on a Cayman GT4...? F@ck off and buy a 911...
Otherwise.. if you WANT this car.. then get in line and BUY it...

Pricing is not that big of a surprise to me.

The next BIG question is when will U.S. dealers receive their allocations???

Yup, still all in on the F80. I just really want a 4 door now.

Looks like ZCP will cost a whopping $6500 but I think it'll be worth it. That will push my purchase back because of the price (also thinking about getting Individual Signal Green). All this is adding up alarmingly quick.

Like I said since day one this subforum. If I'm going to do it, I'm going to do it right (and probably the only time I buy new).

Having said that, I really look forward to the press drives and ED pictures of when the OG members pick their M2s up!

Why is that "lucky"? So you can pay more for less than you can get with a quality aftermarket option?

Interesting, 7:55. It's the same driver as listed on the wiki, too. By no means is the Cayman S a "slow" track car, but definitely expensive. I'm excited how much car the M2 is for the money.

EDIT: Just realized I had SensaTec. Add an additional $550 for leather.
Ha! I said fully loaded M235 not including port installed stuff like LSD would be damn close.

I'm impressed. Considering this car almost weigh the same as the F8x. It's just .2-.3 seconds slower. If you can remove those deadweight, I'm sure it'll be blazing fast. If it weren't for that front bumper.

I'm still sticking to my M4
