This pic is flat out amazing to me:
It seems to have the same, sudden, "explosion" of wideness where the rear panel begins like the VISION GT6!

This is the first of the prototypes to show the built in sidemarkers for the US market, so looks like the front and rear bumpers are now production ready!
Note, those little square stick on reflectors are still present, so expect the markers as on the X5M/X6M that are built into the 'vents" in the rear bumper.

Mod 1: Black out those markers.

Notice also how the wheels are nicely filling the wheel arches gap. Or, the other way around, how the more pronounced wheel arches take care of reducing wheel gap looks.

Might look like this in the final version.

Look at the opening on the upper front wheel arch and you will see typical M air breather which will include the M insignia on a decorative detail across the opening. But this is a new prototype.
Is this what scott26 is referring to... There is a little vent on the side there. Does that mean there is special aero connecting the front air vents in the front bumper to this vent in the side of the car.

Can someone remind me if we've heard confirmation of the M2 getting bespoke seats or will the sport seats from the series car carry over?

I'd wait on the wheel gap comment, because that car is taking a right turn. Wouldn't be surprised if the wheel gap is very high like most M cars are these days.

M2 prototype wheels versus M6 Gran Coupé wheels.

Would be great if GT6 Vision Concept style of wheels would be made available too.

I plan to go with non-adaptive shocks (unless BMW makes me), and will probably wait for Swift to release their springs. Really happy with them on my E92

Exactly!

That was a great shot as well, just didn't want to keep quoting the pic.

I'm running a Swift rear sway bar on my STi and love it; they truly make a great product and are a great company as well.

They're about an hour, hour and change, from me.

I had B16 kit on my 135i and I truly loved them. Expensive piece of kit, but more than worth it

Just don't think about the fact that we still have to wait 12 months before we even get the chance to drive our own M2...

I thought it might be useful to see this side-by-side with the latest iteration of an M side vent:
